So just a few mins. ago, my game froze as I was doing a daily quest. Up until then the game was playing normally. I logged out, gave it a few minutes and logged back in. Where your list of chars. are, it’s empty with the enter world button greyed out.
Here’s what I have done. I logged completely out of Bnet and rebooted my computer. I took out my addons (renamed it and moved it out of the Wow folder). I relogged in using my pw and approved the authenticator and it’s still empty. Every character I have on Drenden is “gone”. I don’t play on any other servers so I cannot do a comparison.
I’ve done the initial trouble shooting that you guys always recommend and yes, my account is paid up till Dec. 1st so I am flummoxed. Any ideas I might of missed?
I am having the exact same problem on Daggerspine realm. Characters that i created and haven’t used for 2 years on Dalaran and Illidan are showing up and are playable, just nothing current is playable.
I just saw the post above mine and it sounds as if we’ve got a cluster of servers down then and it’s nothing particular to my game. I’ll sit tight then. Thanks for replying and letting me know.
something is wrong with my character list too. I’m on the same server cluster as daggerspine/bonechewer. Its part of the “new players” population. I’m on Gurubashi server. I’ve never really had this issue before? I deleted my cache folder just incase some weird bug was happening but idk I can’t access my main server.

Rexxar/Misha for me for Retail WoW.
I logged in roughly at 1:45 PM Central on this character and flew near the area “Call of the Dream” takes you. NPC’s didn’t show up, so I went to log off, and it didn’t take me to the character selection screen. It just had the game running with the in-game environment I was in, animations running and all, but with me unable to move my character.
I closed the game, waited a minute for Battle Net to finish doing its thing in Task Manager, and relaunch the game. The character selection screen shows up black. I can switch servers which thankfully show the number of characters I have on both my servers (Rexxar/Misha), but it doesn’t load or list them in the list area. It does load the background when I do that, but no characters.
Not using any addons nor have I ever used any before. I tried to close the game a few times afterwards, waited a bit, and went to login again, and the same results happen each time. I’m completely unable to see my characters or play the game.

This happened to me on Aegwynn. Coincidentally, I was waiting for a transfer to complete from Drenden. Now it looks like the transfer completed and both of the aforementioned servers now aren’t showing my characters even though the count on the server select screen is correct.
