Game Crashes everytime at character load

I have a similar issue but is isolated to a particular account. I think a setting on the server side is causing it to crash.

Dragronflight Live Game crashed everytime at character load

Can’t Enter World I have 3 accounts, my main and 2 started editions. I can login and see all my characters in my main account. When I try to ‘enter the world’, with any existing or any newly created characters, the game start to load and crashes. No errors, no tracebacks, nothing, just puff closed. I can ‘enter world’ - if I login into any of the started edition accounts, Use PTR with my main account. Is there a stuck setting that needs to be reset in my main account? I have… Reinstall…

I’m sorry, Caguaxx, I’m not a tech person, nor familiar at all with Mac products. This is not similar to the issue this thread was about, sorry.

Not a mac issue, but a PC and account…arrhh so frustrating the support from blizzard!

If the game is crashing, it doesn’t sound like it is with just the account. Something is happening there. If others are also experiencing this issue there may be something to go on and we’d need to gather more information for an investigation.

At the moment, I’ve only seen your report if this particular issue so it would be best for someone who is a lot more tech savvy than I am to help troubleshoot.

The game crashes it does not matter to the client. I can run it on a PC or MAC, the crash is the same. It constantly crashes at entering the world loading screen. When I use the account that has all my main characters, it crashes at entering the world loading screen. Please take the time to read my original post.

I can use PTR no problem, live is not working!!! Please understand.

I am now stuck and can’t play on an account that is 6-month prepaid. Please help me or direct me to someone that could. Thanks

You have a thread in Technical Support, Caguaxx. Hopefully, someone is able to take a look into the issue a bit more and figure out what is causing it.

The only advice I can give you is to make sure you have reset your User Interface. You mentioned that you deleted your Interface and WTF folders. So unless you didn’t also delete your Cache folder, which is part of the reset process, you’ve done what I would be able to recommend at this point.

The entire World of warcraft folder has been deleted! And the game was re-installed… the same issue

I am having this problem too!!! My friend and I play the game right next to each other. I thought it was my computer, at first. Then I log into my account on his computer, it crashes when I enter the world on his computer. His account works on any computer, my account works on no computer. It is definitely an account or server issue not a technical issue that we can solve on our end!

Caguaxx, it looks like one of your older accounts isn’t so much a starter, but just inactive. For the other one, which has been upgraded to Dragonflight, I tried the character and could log into it just fine.

So the issue is not specific to the character. I did the same with Adalhaidi with the same results.

Just for kicks, can you try logging into your Goblin Priest on Area 52? See if you have the same results.

Okay so I’m sitting here with my friend. He’s been playing every day, no issues. Just now, in this moment, I logged into my character Adalhaidi on his computer and the game immediately crashed. Then he logs into his account on the same computer and it works just fine.

To answer this question, it absolutely can be. While you may use the exact same computer, addons, addon setup, etc., the two of you do different things in game. Everytime you do something different, even as simple as loading a different class/race combo slightly alters the files and could bring in a higher level of corruption. That’s why when issues pop up, the Full UI Reset is suggested. It’s the first step in troubleshooting; not necessarily the solution in every case, but it’s the starting …

Also you are right that it is not specific to any particular character. We both have multiple characters we play, I have no issues on any of my characters on any computer. The game crashes for her on any character on any computer.

Just finished doing a WoW uninstall, deleted the entire World of Warcraft folder, and reinstalled WoW. Then I tried entering the word with Goblin Priest on Area 52, and it crashed after the loading bar was completed.

Alright, I heard back and it does look like this is a known issue that is being worked on. I guess it’s been tough trying to reproduce externally, but we hope to have a potential fix in today. I don’t have a specific ETA, just “today”. If that changes I will provide an update.

thanks @Vrakthiris for giving us a rough “today” fix timer but can you tell them that not having this on the known problems topic makes it hard for a lot of people to figure out that its not there pc its just the game like damn i reset my computer thinking my pc we screwed
