I can’t even send mail or items to my alt because it keeps telling me “character unfriendly” whatever that means, and I can’t make a ticket because there are ZERO options. No matter what I pick, even character problem, I get a list of FAQ and no option to create a ticket. Amazing support.

Is this on retail or is this on classic? What are you also trying to send to your characters?
If on classic, you can not send mail cross faction (except for Bind on Account items). Also if on Pandaria classic, trying to send to a freshly made Panderan, you might need to finish the starting zone for the Panderan and chose the faction.

The game is in constant progression - that’s the point.
What version you are playing is fairly obvious - you have make a conscience decision at the launcher - and each have their own unique artwork/logo/character select screen etc.

Well, I don’t know what you want us to do to try and help then. This is a player to player help forum, and coming here to rant is going to get nowhere. If you need help, we’re here to help. If you wish to provide feedback, you would need to post it in the other forums such as General Discussion. If you encounter a bug, then you’ll need to post it on the Bug Report forums. But sadly, we can’t help you much if you’re just going to use this forums to vent when that is not the purpose of these forums.

I like having the option to revisit the classic era option - or try my luck on the classic hardcore option.
OR is it a case of you not understanding the changes? Depending on when you last played, a lot, and I mean a lot, has happened in terms of the stories and in terms of the game.

TLDR; it’s not broken because players want it this way.
Those different versions of the game with different rules generally exist because people asked for throwback realms with those different rulesets.
(Some are just fun realms with experimental playstyles).
Blizzard’s just giving players what they wanted.
Anyway, the inability to send mail to unfriendly (read: opposite faction) characters is a traditional rule which has been in place for nearly the entirety of the game’s span. It was only relaxed in retail recently. That’s why people are asking about your realm type — this limitation indicates you’re likely playing some flavour of classic, for which expect to see continued implementation until they reach modern day release points.

classic wow aka the old wow which u seem to claim to have played which had no cross faction mail in it, has no cross faction mail in it… the char is unfriendly because horde and alliance are not friendly… retail wow has lifted that. its not rocket science.
