I think the rating needs to be changed to let parents know there is gambling in this game. No, I’m not talking about the slot machine mechanics that is loot. There are scratchcards named Mysterious Fortune Card that can be crafted with inscription. Once used, the card turns into a random “fortune” card that has a value from 1s to 5000g.
People are selling these cards for around 100g to children in trade chat and preying on their innocence.
I don’t think it should be legal for this game to be available to children without proper warnings.

I always wanted a lottery inside WoW. Buy a ticket for 1 gold, win a million.

Well it’s been in the game for 10 years now. I just learned about it today and I’m disgusted.
Player interactions are not considered when ratings are determined. Parents should monitor online gameplay for young children and use the parental controls provided by Blizzard.

This isn’t a game invented by players, it’s an in-game item made by blizzard.

The selling of the items in trade chat is a player interaction.

Who knows what the motivation was for creating such an item or why it’s maintained. Maybe inscription was really bad and needed a boost.
Selling gambling items to children is illegal.
Have you come across Blizzard’s gender changing agenda?
i have a hard time believing that.
lets be real no kids plays this game anymore there all on fortnite using there mum’s credit card buying vbucks

You do realise there is actual gambling in this game? Not loot card win a dollar gambling, but people who sit out the front of the Org AH and offer a dice rolling game gambling.
Than there is the /roll gambling people do in raids and dungeons, probably more that I am not aware of. I think it is more of an issue that people actively gamble rather than the loot cards Blizzard sell.
Blizzard has made it clear that player-run “casinos” were not tolerated and would result in suspensions. They are complete hypocrites at best.
Doesn’t gambling only warrant a T rating anyway?

I used them for the buff and the card was just the toy at the bottom of the box. Just like real life; some toys were better than others.
lol already lost millions on those.
Oh sweet a lawsuit, thanks OP. Gonna be rich
That is false, advertising for them is against the rules, but the actual gambling is perfectly fine.
WoW is rated T for teen, meaning children should not be playing the game, as there may be drinking (brewfest), suggestive themes (gambling, people running around in undergarments, etc), violence (while point of the game).

It’s all in game currency. Kids shouldn’t play dragonquest or final fantasy cause some of them have in game gambling?
