Sanguine Grimrail shouldn’t be too bad, if the group pulls the mobs all the way to the front of train car and slowly walks them back, but it is annoying.

To be clear – you never stand under the star. You stand behind the star with the red line pointing to it so that it goes through it.
Think of it this way. I am supposed to poke a hologram with my finger, and touch your chest. If you are standing on top of the hologram, I cannot do that, because my finger will find your chest first. But if you stand behind the hologram, I have the ability to now do both things.
That’s how that mechanic works. The red arrow must go through the star as a result of you being behind the point in question.
