An Open Letter to whoever the F is in Charge of Fury:
Why?
We’re not grossly outperforming other classes in M+
I bust every nut I have and can’t even come close to what a flippin Frost DK, Arc Mage, Ret Pal, Outlaw Rogue, or Hunter can do yet you’re giving us more and more and more nerfs?
In what world are we grossly, disgustingly, horrendously sinning so much that you have to nerf our AOE And make us even worse? Nevermind that you gave us an absolute dogsh!te tier set that is ONLY rivaled in “how bad can it be” by the DF s1 tier set
But while you’re at it, seriously, while you’re “nerfing” aspects of Fury, could you nerf our motherhubbing THREAT GENERATION?!?!?!?!
I watched a Frost DK burst almost 4mil DPS while I was giving the tank time to get threat, and he never had aggro. I charge in and WHIRLWIND and I suddenly have threat and die to a flurry of melee attacks.
I watched an Arcane Mage go to nearly 5MILLION DPS while I waited for the tank to gather, I charged in and hit Odyn’s Fury ONCE MOTHERHUBBING GYAWTDANG TIME and I died to a flurry of AGGRO-MELEE ATTACKS.
Why. Why do you hate warrior? Just forking get rid of it if you hate it so much, just drop the class entirely if you are so triggered and offended by us having ONE SINGLE TIER WHERE WE CAN BE PAR WITH OTHER CLASSES.
They are a business. They dont hate anything. Enough backlash that hurts their wallets and Fury will be #1 dps both ST and AOE.
Simple - enough people need to voice their concerns and cancel their subscriptions. There are 10s of thousands of Warrior players… you have the strength, use it.
I unfortunately bought a12-month sub simply because I was having a lot of fun playing as Fury. Now my only choice is to switch classes.
True, but they have preferences and that’s clear. They obviously focus their energy, money and time into other classes, more specifically Mages, Paladins and Hunters. Idk if it’s the majority of people class or if there’s more to it but in the last few years these 3 classes have at least 1 spec above average or top tier. The reason why most Warriors think Blizzard hates them it’s because in these past few years there were always classes and specs that got their lil time to shine, with exception of Warriors lol. Obvious reasons, we are mostly useless compared to most classes and that issue was NEVER adressed and we don’t have the damage to compensate it just like now.
The minority game mode that almost nobody really cares about? The gamemode that Fury has been objectively TERRIBLE at for the vast majority of the game’s lifespan? The gamemode with little to absolutely NO impact on the rest of the game what your progression on it is? Sure, that flipping matters especially considering how many patch nodes they add that say “x ability does x more/less thing IN PVP”
PvP is only still in the game because it’s always been there and it takes minimal effort to maintain it. Toss a new BG in once per xpac and one or two more arena maps and PvPers are happy to continue frothing at the mouth at eachother
Oh you mean PVE…OH MY BAD GOOD SIR. You were referring to the spec that Liquid subbed out a dps to have TWO fury warriors because of their obscene damage. My apologies, I didnt mean to get the two game modes mixed up
To me its insane. Its padding on a few raid bosses
If they go through this this we will be an utter joke in mythic plus especially.
Right now I am itemized fairly well I believe and I don’t play -that- badly in keys and there are plenty of classes who can keep up in damage or do more.
Our entire class and spec should not be based around some moronic world first scenario in a specific boss for a specific portion of that fight.
There are ret pally rolling their faces on keyboard right now blowing up everything in sight.
Do your research bro lol. I love the argument that “if Liquid has in their team it’s because it’s op”. Fury is nieche for the raid. That’s it, major cooldowns allign perfectly with the every so often adds spawn and Queen webs. Stop being dumb and go read some stuff, it’s not like Warrior was overtuned like Sunfury, not only that they already got the damage nerf. Just like EVERY +20 keystone used to have a Fire mage but you never used to see Fire anywhere in pugs, because you need the whole comp to play around it, did they nerf Fire to the ground? SPriest when Surrender to Madness was insane but only very few could ACTUALLY make it work, talent got slightly nerfed and reworked to be more acessible to the majority, did it get a massive nerf? No, because that’s NIECHE, not “obscene”.
Also it’s one of the stupidest things you can do: compare the playerbase to the best players around. Not only it’s THEIR JOB, as they have all the time, money, resources and support to make it look “insanely overpowered”. First 2 M bosses had 2 Devastations in their comp, it means they’re super OP even tho you barely see a single one in any key, let’s nerf it… But yes, let’s balance the game around the best players in the world, the clear majority of the playerbase.
Ignorant.
Also PvP is a Stun fiesta, so yes nobody cares about it. Unless you’re being 1shot’d Blizzard will say it’s fine
If they want to nerf our burst profile, then increase our other damage to compensate to shift the damage profile some.
Put more damage into whirlwind, raging blow, bloodthirst and cold steel if you are going to nerf dragon roar and Odyn’s fury.
My damage outside fury/roar is just not that impressive.
I just played a grim Batol with a Destro lock and Boomy and they did better single target which I’m fine with, but some pulls they actually did more AOE damage.
Honestly the whole soft target cap thing has been a huge failure.
People just end up finding classes that don’t have the same cap and it’s not like we in particular offer some amazing utility or anything even if I do enjoy having access to shockwave and storm bolt at same time.
Commanding shout is crap, should be a lot stronger and offer a leech component.
Intimidation shout fear break component needs to have higher threshold.
Hell, we deserve a sort of mini resurrection shout.
“Rally” You raise one dead person to fight for 30 seconds with a 5 percent haste buff for one last go.
