Imagine purposely gimping progression of your character because you want to fixate on doing only one form of content.
You take what pve gear you get first week of raid (and ongoing) into pvp so you can get pieces that fill in the gaps of player strength. The same works in reverse. Players that do only pve or pvp, need to realize the game has moved beyond doing only pve or pvp.
The value doesn’t change with world buffs. It’s 22 flat AP, not Str or Agi, so nothing scales with world buffs.
The crit cap is effectively impossible to reach for Fury Warriors because of Heroic Strike canceling.
When you have a Heroic Strike queued, you negate the dual wield hit penalty.
That means, including the 6.5% chance to be dodged and 40% chance for a glancing blow, you have a 53.5% crit cap. 18% crit from world buffs. Raid buffs give you another 3.5% crit. ~23% crit chance to start.
Hit over 6% does not increase your crit cap. You’ve already totally eliminated miss from the attack table.

You don’t spam Heroic Strike… you queue it up, then cancel it if you don’t have the rage to do it + other abilities after it lands.
Your off-hand always lands (outside of dodges), so any more than 6% hit is only going to slightly increase your chance for your main-hand to not miss when you cancel a Heroic Strike, which is very, VERY few swings.
if it was very few swings then wouldn’t you get near no glancing blows?
No. Glancing blows is a flat 40%. Nothing changes that.
i don’t know everything about classic i was told hs makes your auto a yellow swing so glancing blows still applies to this? what about the damage penalty of the offhand does it also still apply
Heroic Strike is an ability, yes, so it does not suffer from Glancing Blows. Heroic Strike makes ALL your melee swings (including off-hand swings) considered abilities, though, meaning your off-hand does not suffer fromGlancing Blows.
You only get Glancing Blows on your white swings, which would be from your off-hand and main-hand when you do not have a Heroic Strike queued.
That’s why you queue up a Heroic Strike. You only cancel if you have less rage than is necessary to use it + other abilities, which would only affect your main-hand because as soon as your main-hand lands, you queue Heroic Strike again (before your off-hand swing lands).
Nah. Just saying about 90% don’t know pvp.
You have some but not many actually know pvp.
Most experience I have with that server is ghost walk, afk, hide, run around the enemy, and whatever.
Then expect free honor, easy gear, and afk HPH.
Do you know pvp or BGs is not all about HPH. It’s about fighting win or lose.
That why some ppl quit pugging or Q because they get these ppl from certain servers that do the above.
Let me ask would you like ppl joining your raid/dungeon going afk, stay dead, and then expect gear?
Do you have any idea how god awful tier is for some classes compared to PvP gear? Do you realize how much weaker t2 is compared to the r12+ gear? Gear doesn’t match the stat budgets on those items until you’re clearing AQ40.
I was around in Vanilla when this all got announced and I was a raider and PVPer. I remember the opinion that PVP gear was an alternative to raiding gear for PVPers who weren’t interested in raiding/in a raiding guild (and not being in a raiding guild in Vanilla was very common unlike now where everyone raids). Those PVPers ended up being smashed by the raiders with the better gear who premaded in the BGs. I’m not sure what you’re getting at but I just wanted to mention this.
The same reason fully raid geared players camp flight paths at low level quest hubs, they just want to kill people.
It was different pvp gear back then. In classic we basically have naxx revamped version that’s why it is so powerful in comparison
And all of it available before BWL was live. Gee guys, why is content so much easier in classic?
That sounds about right although any information about this is hard to find, it does make sense though.
It’s their $15 monthly? People can do what they want as long as they’re not going against TOS/EULA

This is an easy answer and is exactly the same as the question: Why does everyone rush to top max level? And is the same answer to the question: Why does everyone join a raiding guild? And is the same answer to the question: Why does everyone want to be in the top guild on the server? And is the same answer to the question: Why does everyone do dungeons all day? And is the same answer to the question: Why does everyone want to play 24/7? And is the same answer to the question: Why do people multibox?
The answer: {DRUM ROLL PLEASE - everyone actually already knows this} IT’S BECAUSE EVERYONE THAT PLAYS AN MMORPG IS LOOKING FOR AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE OVER THE SOLO PLAYER THAT DOESN’T DO ANY OF THAT.
This is the reason that multiboxing is allowed in the MMORPGs that are on top of the charts for the most players {FULL STOP PERIOD}
For some classes certain peices of pvp gear are better than all the PVE gear that is available for PVE. Also for some classes the t2 pve gear is inferior to the pvp gear for pvp.
