All the alts I ever did, I never get a scroll until I Hearth/Portal back to SW/Org and THEN I get the scroll and quest.
Though I will admit I never went back to SW/Org at 68 because, well, why would I?

I have leveled countless characters as well. Also been playing for 16 years. Leveling through every zone in the game multiple times.
Leveling is and was a comfort activity still. But it’/s been ruined.
If you want to do 1 zone in each xpac as part of the leveling experience literally nothing is stopping you
i do not know why they do not do something like where you can pick , 25% , 50% , 75% , 100% xp while leveling so people can do all the quests and zones before hitting max level.
They need to remove dragonflying and get back to adventure. I wish they could make dynamic content where you had to think to finish quests and couldn’t just look up a guide or use a mod. I will not agree with liking m+++++++. It was a downfall and the start of lazy blizzard programming and content updates.
Use only grey gear when leveling. It slows it down a little.
I hear you and agree. But it won’t change because the audience with a 7 second attention span is the majority now. They just want things to be like this - create new character— raid.
Yeah the problem is you assuming that’s what I want.
I agree, the leveling is so fast now. I’m not complaining, I just wish there were two features.
Yeah, that’s kind of the problem lmao
Play classic you already have an lvl 11 lol
That’s how the old leveling system worked. It’s unrealistic to expect blizz to have people level through every zone in the game to get to max level
I play Classic. It’d be cool to play retail and not be subjected to 3% of the entire game as relevant content lol
I like how it is. Maybe they can implement a ‘Classic XP’ mode, like an NPC giving you a debuff that dunks on your xp, so you can enjoy a much slower leveling.
Much like holiday xp buffs, but reversed. It would be easy to do, too.
Why would you want to suffer playing boring content. That’s why they release time walking and chromie for the teenie tiny people like you.
Mostly everyone wants to do endgame content, like mythic+ and raiding. Or even end game PVP.
Sure you can go play classic, but even blizzard has leveling boost for classic because NO ONE wants to spend most of their time doing the same boring quest over and over. Sure they change it up by instead of killing 100 lynx’s for hide, you kill 1000 turtles, or 10000 rams. BORING …
Go find another game to play if you don’t like it.
Thanks! I’m going to do that!
The metrics about “live service game” proved that players are way more likely to spend money on MTX while being max-level or less engaged into the levelling aspect of the game. Apart from the “Character Boost” in the Shop, it’s better for Microsoft Blizzard to have the levelling experience minimalistic and the fastest as possible to ensure players spend more on the Shop on a daily basis at max level.
Especially in MMO’s, players tends to get more influenced by the spending of others when they remain stacked in their Capital or whatever zone the most players are gathered. They see other players with : mounts, transmog and all kind of stuff every time they log in and it’s boosting the sales of MTX by a large margin.
Blizzard is well aware that most people would like a longer and more memorable levelling experience, but like I said earlier, you’re less likely to spend money while Questing in Dragonflight, than being semi-afk in Dornogal and seeing 50+ other players showing off their Shop MTX like the brutosaur.
At the end of the day, Microsoft Blizzard is now more about the shareholders than the consumer, and it’s not tomorrow that this will change.
That is not how the old leveling system worked at all lol
No one went into Northrend and ONLY did Howling Fjord.
They’d have to do multiple zones before they ended up reaching max level.
Cause everything revolves around SW and Org. The rest of the faction cities exist to collect dust or be destroyed on the whim of a bad writer.
Ah yea you gota talk to blizz about that lol, there more content on retail than classic
