Frustrated with the game

I don’t know if I am the only one but I am becoming frustrated with the game.

I love leveling, I love the more casual content in the game. I like raiding and doing M+ too but.

I really love leveling. And ever since chromie time, and the level squish, it’s been irreparably damaged.

I am consistently told to go play classic instead, but I don’t want to go play classic. I want to play retail and have a good leveling experience there. I’ve already played classic. I want to be able to have fun, and new leveling experiences in retail WoW that make me want to level new characters.

This is just me venting but it’s been bugging me a lot. I hate how fast, and how easy leveling is.

I agree, but there’s about 100 white knights about to tell you it’s better this way. Good luck.

I still find it painful. Id allow for slower leveling if you were allowed to sell me levels on the AH.

Then we’d both win.

It can’t be quick enough.

I enjoy leveling too, when it’s quick.

When you have seen the content many, many times, getting it done asap is the way to go.

Classic is still slow, if you wanna lvl toons goto classic Cata and go ham

I don’t understand. You can level in Chromie Time. You can go to any zone and level.
What do you see that is damaged?

That’s exactly what I just say I don’t want to do though. I WANT to play retail. I want to play retail with good leveling. I don’t want to go back to an expansion I played 13 years ago. One that is missing all the things I do like about retail.

Well you cant have it both ways , cuz retail is end game oriented

That’s exactly what is damaged.
Before I would start in vanilla, lvl from 1 - 60 there.
Then I’d go to outland. Lvl from 60 - 70 there.
Then Northrend 70 - 80
Then cata - 80 - 85
Then MoP 85 - 90
Then WoD 90 - 100
Then Legion 100 - 110
Then BfA 110 - 120

Now I have chromie time and I can’t even finish wrath before I hit lvl 70 and have to go to dragonflight. I cannot actually enjoy the zones and do a lot of them. I can literally hit lvl 70 before finishing a single expansion worth of stuff. I hate it. Chromie time was a mistake.

It would be really nice if they added an option for much slower leveling.

Exactly. I just want the option for it. Fast leveling can be an option too, just bring back the old heirlooms and make them way better. Faster experience gaining etc etc.

You could try never equipping new gear until the content gets too hard to complete?

Be a bit of a slog to make any alts when you gotta go through 10 expansions

There is easy ways around that. Like heirlooms providing massively higher xp rates and dungeon spamming like a lot of people already do.

It’s not hard to get around it, but not having the option for that kind of leveling sucks. I want to actually ENJOY the leveling experience. Not rush to end game.

This is what players get when designers want leveling to be a one size fits all experience. Blizzard doesn’t like giving players options.

And then people will complain that they’re forced to spend a ton of gold to buy all these things

Then lo and behold Make it free

Hard to balance people who want to just play an alt vs those who like the experience and grind of leveling.

Why not just add “leveling +” to the game? Just multiply all experience gains, all monster health and damage by a flat amount?

Choose it when creating, or have it be a toggle. That way you can have your slow leveling and I can have my fast.

Just put a slider on the Chromie Time that lets us reduce the experience we receive.

Let me set my own experience points to 1-99% of normal experience gain while in Chromie Time.

Problem solved. Everyone is happy.

I like scaled leveling. I have so many new alts thanks to it.
