Frostmourne Replica seriously?

Hi res image vs. a standard res image shows nothing… At least nothing to warrant a $1150.00 price difference. Sorry.

It’s very nice, but the handle doesn’t look like something you’d want to grab on to without an armored gauntlet.

Got mine on preorder, $1700 is not that much

Yeah, they usually go from around $200-300 at conventions (along with Illdain’s glaives), so the $1500 price seems super excessive.

Seems like Blizzard being greedy just for the sake of a collector’s certificate.

You’d be willing to pay hundreds of dollars to a company on some sketchy website with only “standard res images” to go on? Fascinating. Tell me more.

I can see the epic swords version on youtube… All I get from the overly expensive Blizzard version is 1 hi res image. Easy decision.

And every single one of them will sell

Absolute rip off but what can you expect from Blizz

Original sold for $389.00 - $349.00 US
https epicswords (DOT) com/product/frostmourne-replica/

Now they want $1,500.00 US

Depends on if it is actual real steel or plastic.

If its all metal, $1500 is a fair price. If its plastic they can eat a…

You can also get good-looking (and some even better-looking, though what looks good is always a matter of personal preference) replicas on Etsy too.

I cannot find who is making this sword. Does anyone know? Is it made by a well known blacksmith? Is it made in China?

I am interested in it, but if it is made in China, and or fragile I will pass.

You phrase this as if a Frostmourne Replica is a necessity.

No that’s just how you’re reading it.

I am reading it as it is written.

You bring up the economy because you’re implying people can’t afford replicas of fantasy swords when they’re priced at almost $2000.

So my observation stands, this sword isn’t for those worried about the price of a gallon of Milk. If you’re concerned with “the state of the economy”, don’t be window shopping for sword replicas. It’s a luxury, unique, specialized item.

Well your opinion of my opinion doesn’t matter to me, so thanks. Blizzard is charging based off a perceived level of assumed appreciation and banking on a few super fans. The sword has proven to not appreciate in the past and it won’t this time… “A fool and his money…” Charging $1500.00 for a cheap copper/zinc/tin alloy sword from china is indeed an insult to smart consumers in “this economy”, so bugger off.

“It wasn’t much cheaper” lol are you serious even if you want to factor in a generous iflated value this is highway robbery

It’s kind of sad really. That pretty much they made it for those who are rich as heck while those who are middle class or poor can’t have such things like that now in days.

The details from the Blizz store:

“This premium Frostmourne 1:1 scale replica is truly one-of-a-kind. The replica body is made by lost wax casting with engraving, milling finishing, and manual polishing. The materials used to create this premium replica are zinc-copper alloy, stainless steel, and leather.”

And also very important “Includes Certificate of Authenticity”

The product description for the much cheaper epicswords version:

  • The Frostmourne sword is an impressive piece with a length of 47 inches.
  • The replica is a two-handed sword that still can be wielded by a single hand thanks to its great balance.
  • The blade includes a set of decorative rules, as well as the recognizable jagged pattern of its lower edge.
  • The handguard of the WOW Frostmourne replica is a beautiful and intricately designed piece worthy of a stand-alone sculpture that was also electroplated.
  • The entire piece is handmade and features the use of stainless steel, as well as a real leather strip for its handle.

If nothing else, Blizz does a much better job of selling its product. And in my opinion, the official Blizzard version looks much better.
