After hotfixed the lucid dream GS bug, lucid dream doesnt generate icicle correctlly, i got no icicle although i got versa buff and the icicle on my head.
As i tested GS and slow fall got this bug, idk if others are fine or not.
Please fix that!!! its the wrost dps already!

I have the same bugg with memories of lucid dreams
it seems that it generates an icicle and appears in the character but does not count

Yep, i have the same bug . Seemed like it started tonight. I don’t remember having the same issue while i was questing earlier in the day.
Same issue here. Icicle visually shows but does not count to the 5 needed for GS. I did not notice this happening before the latest hotfix.

Thank You! I thought I was going crazy - 5 icicles and cant hit glacial spike until I do anther frostbolt - but it will be because of this bug. It seems to have happened after they “fixed” the bug where you could cast the extra Glacial Spike - which by the way it still happening - all it seems to have introduced is this bug

This is happening on my mage as well. I get the visual buff, I get the stack on my icicles buff, it will be at 5/5 stacks and I still can’t cast glacial spike.
At one point, I got three free icicles in a row, it took me to 5/5 stacks on my buff(visual as well), had to cast 3 frost bolts to be able to GS.

Can confirm. Still broken. But heeyyyy they hotfixed the ability to stack multiple Magical Pet Biscuits on pets in one day! GG

This has been happening since the start of 8.3.
I canceled my subs cause of this bug and Blizzards bad attitude towards it. I mean, it’s not even in the “known issues list” so don’t even dream they’ll fix it soon.
Frost mage is the worst class to play right now. Lowest dps and super inconsistent due to this bug.
Maybe it’s time so accept what’s really going on (and the WC3R launch confirmed):
Blizzard doesn’t exist anymore, it’s a Activision. And Activision doesn’t care about players, games or having good products. They care about money. And as long as then can get away with selling garbage games at AAA pricepoint but that cost 2 cents to make, they will continue to do so.
My advice, uninstall and go play a game that has developers that actually care.

Possible bug fix is replacing it then putting it back on. Don’t seem to be getting the visual bug anymore, and getting a GS on average of 4 FB casts in between.
It is still bugged, very much so I have plenty of screenshots and videos from today alone to give if they need it. You can spam slow fall on yourself and get it, no stack but u get over head and verse proc and the heal effect. I have given up on blizz at this point.

The hotfix on January 29th did not Fix the Lucid Dreams minor for Frost mages. It states :
Heart of Azeroth
- Corrected an issue with Memory of Lucid Dreams (Essence) that caused Frost Mages’ icicle buff counter and visual display to sometimes not match up when using its on-use effect.
This effect is not an On use. It’s the minor not the major that was interacting incorrectly. This effect is a passive that happens randomly from any spellcast. The minor is acting very weird. Some of the time you will get a buff from it and a physical icicle over your character or only get the icicle and not the buff. Its very frustrating trying to cast glacial spike with 5 icicles over your head but not enough icicle buffs to allow it.
Posted this in the mage forum too to see if anyone else had it happen. its still messed up and annoying that we have to use less dps minors just because blizz wont fix this.

Yeap, this bug is a solid 15~20% dps reduction.
I was testing it last night in raid and it’s insanely bad.
And here I was wondering if I was doing something wrong with 5 IC and my GS not work, good thing they fired all that QA.
It’s not even about the QA. Bug has been there for about a month, chances are no one even read these posts. It’s not in the “Known issues” post.
