Fire mage is the superior class, by far.

Been there since WoD and received no changes whatsoever…

At this point you can’t blame people for hating it, because the other two are just… meh by comparison in performance, but neither really adds all that much to the playstyle.

I won’t speak on behalf of Mes, but his last couple of streams he has been going through a lot of self doubt in his performance with DK.

He seems to be enjoying his Ret & arms a lot more.

It kind of says a lot, too. I’d also imagine it has a lot more to do with the awc.

The other two were better in beta pre nerf though. Bos has changed somewhat over the years but if one thing was going to get the axe it should be that ability. It’s a good ability but development bias makes its implementation toxic to whatever spec can use it.

I want to agree, but all they could do is just make new active abilities there to rival it. It’s the least they could do when all they go on about is “choice”.

It does, which is probably why cdew and trill have been playing more with the firemage. Practice for AWC.

However, I don’t blame mes in playing his ret more than anything atm. I’ve been gearing one up too and it’s incredibly fun…and powerful. This is my first arena season and I set myself a goal of pushing 2200 S1 - as my DK. My mind has been changing the more I’ve been playing ret and I may be swapping to Ret as my main for S1 SL.

“Fine” in how people were using it, which was pretty much entirely directed towards pve, was saying it can do the content. Nothing was broken in its functionality. Obliterate was never going to go live being 60-70% of the specs damage.

I think Xinove’s context is from a PvP perspective since we were talking about Mes. I could be wrong, though.

Anyways, I’m hoping we see some PvP tuning come tomorrow along with those buffs posted. I’ll be seeing how this 5% plays out before making a decision to stick with DK or Ret.

I was. It was mainly towards the people who keep saying “Frost is fine”.

I don’t think that 5% would mean anything if you want to compare to ret. It’s in a whole different level of existence that dks just can’t touch even with that.

Maybe class balancing is being done by a fire mage ?

Anything that can compete against it seems to immediately be nerfed and shut down ? There isn’t any balance it seems. What is a fire mage counter ? Traditionally it’s dk hunters and arguably warlocks. Now these 3 classes are garbage against a fire mage.

Maybe we should all just roll fire mage for pvp. If everyone is OP then no one is OP.

Double fire mage healer and double fire mage is viable for 3s and 2s

Looks like I will now be maining a Ret pally for SL S1.

It was fun while it lasted boys.

Bliz’s direction with PvP is perfectly clear at this point.

Pvp is normally trash till after the final blizzcon of the expac. Essentially the team hands power to druids pally mage and warrior till everyone in the tournaments is forced to build comps around those classes. Lock and rogue and priest get honour mentions here too.

Arms warrior would like to ask, what’s wrong with 60% of you damage coming from one ability. They are “Fine” in PVE, and GREAT in PVP. Frost could be that as well.

I have an Arms alt, and I wish Frost felt half as satisfying to play.

so your view of frost, if enacted, is fine, but any others’ isn’t? Classic “do what I tell don’t do what I do” kind of thing?

Cannot say that’s commendable behavior, and have to reiterate that not everybody was around to voice opinions in Forums to counter-flood nonsensical suggestions, people tend to take their time to get back each expansion, some have real life issues to take care off, so everybody should pay the toll due to someone maniacally being around all the time to force their will onto stuff?

What is baffling is that you seem to prefer a narrowed choice parameter so everybody becomes a copy&paste of your play-style instead of having more options available, that’s just obscene imo, and you won’t be able to shush the entire DK community who want’s a more decent Frost build to be possible, which brings me back to shunning your will of censorship, in the end Blizz will do whatever they feel like doing, either way there’s a possibility that overtime you’ll lose your pedestal stance if they revert the changes or change the strongest frost play-style. Which begs the question: Why must everyone be leveled by low standards instead of having a stronger option? Just because you dislike the stronger option? If that would be the case, why didn’t you just stuck with your favorite build without interfering with other’s preferences?
