I think they should just rename Mythic Dungeons to “Totally Mid Dungeons” and we’d probably all be fine.

follower dungeons are only useful for teachiing peopel what the dungeon is about. they do not teach “optimal”

These guys will never understand that you can just import a route from a website right into your addon that tells you exactly where to go. Takes 10 seconds too. Can do that during the ready check.

i agree. however if the teammate that keeps falling continuously and when you give them resources and guides to not fall anymore and they refuse those resources and guides then clearly no one is going to be able to help them if they refuse to help themselves

Just report them - toxic attitudes like that will get enough reports to catch a ban eventually. I logged on a few days ago with a bunch of notifications regarding people that I reported in groups.
We have the tools to clean up the community, just have to use them.

why would you not look up a guide before entering a mythic so you dont run into that problem in the first place? just look it up first so that doesnt happen. literally the easiest thing in the world to do, only thing stopping the OP from doing it is themself
and it needs to be pointed out again, if u want that curated experience of people holding your hand guilds are there.

Doesn’t change the fact that saying “follower dungeons exist” in reference to figuring out pathing in keys is bad advice. People go into M0’s for early gear, to get an idea of what a 2 is gonna feel like, and to practice pathing in a dungeon with all of the mechanics they will see in keys without a timer & affixes.
Can you go into a follower dungeon and set yourself as leader and walk amongst the paper mobs of normal difficulty in the route recommended by an addon? Sure. Other than “go here and then go here,” however, it accomplishes nothing and is an unnecessary waste of time.
I recommended OP get MDT. That will solve the entire issue.
But he’s not wrong. Being a doucherocket is like a sport to some in this community, and it’s a net negative for WoW.

its good advice for practicing tank pathing which is what the op said they refuse to do even though they were given the resources to do so.
and they also expect randoms to teach them everything that they dont know. seems logical.
It could work to many people but not for me.
I did participate on Guild long time ago in Vanilla. Too many dramas. Guilds die usually becoz of drama. I was hopping from one guild to another guild.
I experienced a socializing guild but progression was bad. People were too kind. There are guys… bad tank, bad DPS. But becoz the guild is kind, they continue to play those bad players on their Raid. What a wipefest.
When that guild died, I accidentally got into a Serious Elite guild. You need a resume to apply to them. They are elitists. If you are bad, you are not welcome to them. It so happened, many of them recognize me from PuGing as I did plenty of Carries without a charge… small world in one realm back in Vanilla. I got in. On my first Raid, I saw the difference of their DPS. This is where I fit. We reached Naxx40. It was all good.
It was sleepless nights as we Raid everyday. I had fun but I felt I was really tired after several months with lack of sleep. I left the guild. And it was a relief. So I became a PuG’er.
It so happened in Wrath, Gold DKP groups were the thing. Players from different guilds group together and form Raids every weekend. If you are good, you are in. If you are bad, you get kicked. I had no guild and this kind of Raid I want. We’ve beaten ICC25.
Then I became Casual. Masterloot was taken out in Cata. No more Gold DKP raids. I want to play when I want to play. I cant abide to guild schedules. I have never got’n to raid again for several expansions.
Then Legion came. They introduced Raid Finder… not LFR, that’s for noobs. You can now group for Raid using Raid Finder. I was like awakened back to life in WoW. I was able to raid again without a guild… Yeah, a PuG’er. That Expansion, I had Mythic Raid Final Boss kill in Emerald Nightmare Raid. But I left WoW later becoz of Diablo 3 but I came back on Legion Final Season to finish AoTC as PuG.er.
To me, it’s like… the guild needs me more than I need them. Yup, I am a PuG’er to this day and I am now more casual…lesser play time but not a noob. As a PuG’er, I am more of a carrier than being carried. It worked… for me.
Hardly. He expressed a friendly openness to being instructed in a pug M0 after being berated for not taking the optimal path.
“Google it,” and “Go watch a YT video” is not “giving him resources.” I recommended MDT, which is better advice than, “go look it up” after pitching a tantrum over it (which is all that healer did).
Edited to add: Listen, if he was burning somebody’s key, it would be different. If he was in a +4 pug and hadn’t done the 0’s and chosen a preferred path, it would be one thing, but that isn’t what happened here. He went into learning content, and since when does the flippin’ healer get to pick which path we’re taking?
Tanks have options in most dungeons for getting count, and depending on class and playstyle, one might choose differently from another. Especially as a tank, M0 is precisely where he should be going to choose where to go and what he wants to pull in keys for that dungeon.
I vehemently disagree with how he was spoken to, and I think your assessment of OP as lazy and entitled is very backward…because he was in a ZERO.

M+ community is one of the worst in gaming, and they wonder why people don’t want to play with them. In the begining M+ was more of a feeling out process. People explained dungeons, and gradually got better and better. Today, everyone has to be perfect day 1 and know everything.
It’s killing the participation, and then they blame less stressful content for existing. It’s pretty pathological in M+ pugs right now. Try to find a good guild is all I can suggest for doing that content, because pugs are just wackadoodle.
