Hardcore is fun until you die on the zeppelin due to a disconnection.

(not)SoM2 should be before the end of the year by my guess and Fresh Era will not happen.
According to who? Where’s the post saying this so we can confirm from them themselves?

we have already had fresh Wrath and they failed so who would expect Fresh Era to be different. Fresh Wrath ended up like the normal wrath realms in a month and people wanted off them.

HC can only last so long. Era will start to get old when all the people leveling now are all R14/Naxx geared.
I expect Metzen to announce Classic+ at Blizzcon.
For better or worse, I also expect Blizz to simultaneously do Classic Cata, MoP, etc… because it’s just easy money to throw xpacs up there now that are already built on the modern infrastructure no matter how many/few play.
MoP will be worth it just for the PVP.
I thought Chris Metzen left Blizzard in 2016 to start his own thing?
I see “Classic” rolling forward through the expansions like Cata, MoP etc too. At least some people seem to want that and that may be enough reason. I’m also assuming, but could be wrong, that from about WotlK forward they have less and less digging and research to do to make it happen.
Personally I’m only interested in “Vanilla” and TBC. Options like SoM are great, main drawback I see is where do the characters go at the end of a season. It sounds like Era kind of exploded mostly from SoM transfers who also massively outgeared regular Era enjoyers?

believe me, you’re gonna die to your own mistakes more than any DCs 
fresh vanilla, i.e. SoM2, ain’t comin for a loooong time. you best get over your fears of hardcore and join the fun.
