Fresh TBC is terrible idea, it wont matter if gold is inflated, it will return to inflated within a month anyway, why not let players take their stuff with them? Blizzard could always open a few fresh servers as well for those that want it.

How to release TBC.
Carbon copy the vanilla realms into TBC without removing them from classic. Next make 3-5 fresh servers and lock transfers onto them for 6 months. (1 RP and 1-2 pvp/pvp servers).
After 6 months reevaluate classic server activity and merge classic realms for healthy server size. This frees up more realm room to have fresh vanilla realms added and more fresh TBC realms based on popularity/demand. Fresh classic realms would release on phase 6 or phase 1 depending on blizzards $perEffort equation.
Point being when TBC comes out there should be some fresh option, there should be a continuation option and it should not kill classic.
TBC Fresh is the only way, it has to be completely separated from Classic.

Guys fresh just doesn’t make any sense… It’s the same game. All the content before BC is the same. Why would you want to do all that all over again?

I spent a good bit of time farming just to be able to afford my basic flying on my main, hoping to have enough for epic flying by the time I got 70.
I agree there should be a fresh option, but I do not agree everyone should be forced to abandon all their work from classic.
Because they didn’t prepare for TBC.
I have a 1-300 JC kit ready, about 3k gold toward my epic flying coat, exc.
Most people that want fresh have 200g max and did nothing to prepare for TBC. Fresh let’s them have a more even experience for the first few days. Then they will be behind again because they don’t want to put any time in.

ya can’t wait to take the hundred + days ive spent on classic and throw it out the window.
Yeah, I’m sure the playerbase will be so happy when they are told that the characters they just spent 2 years playing cannot be used in TBC.
They could always…
Option 1 - stay on your current server, and it stays at 60
Option 2 - move your character over to a server that will go to BC
Option 3 - start on a fresh tbc server

? OP wasn’t suggesting fresh classic, he was saying when BC releases he thinks we should all have to start from lvl 1 instead of having our classic toons transferred to it. Unless you were well aware and that against it. I don’t get why though, it’s not like our gear is gonna be relevant anymore, it’s all getting replaced. It’s just the time investment of leveling again, which I find it interesting that a classic player would see as a big deal.
I personally don’t care what they do either way, not a big deal to level again, character copies would technically be best for accuracy.
its not about being “scared” its about balancing the factions. the alliance would be decimated as horde in TBC are far better in pretty much every aspect of wow.
Feel free to delete all your characters when BC drops OP. Then it will be totally fresh for you

I wish they would hurry up and announce TBC so I can know if they are doing fresh servers or not. I will make a classic character to go into TBC with if possible, otherwise I’ll just wait.
I will say this, there’s both pro’s and cons to starting fresh, but most people will want to do both. They want to progress there character, while playing the new race/class option on the side. It’s fresh+ so to speak, depending if you rerolled a new faction or not. If I wanted to start fresh, I would just reroll on a new server. That’s as fresh as it can get, for me at least.
Another pro is that you will be able to have groups, but the con is, the leveling is way easier. Not blizzards fault that players are playing the way they are. We knew legacy servers were going to be a disappointment and a joke, to an extent. Why am I saying that? Because it’s content KNOWN, this is how hindsight works. And because of it, you will be chasing a “perfection” play through, which will always be flawed no matter how much you try to chase that dream.

Huh? Fresh servers on pservers were VERY popular. They were actual progressive servers, not like classic where we got p5 updates before dire maul was released (lol).
