So for 90 days you will disallow boosts, and transfers in. Sounds great. Then after the 90 days you will let people boost there, transfer in all their stockpiled gold. Start DK bots to boost and bot farm. And the meta will continue. Only delayed by 90 days.
I think you fail to realize why people want fresh start servers in the first place. It’s not to have a rest from all this retail crap for 90 days. It’s to be able to actually play the game away from GDKPs, RMT, boosts, permanently.
To organically level by playing the game is gonna temporary. “Yay we will get that for 90 days before it returns to boost central again”
To have a fresh start and not be forced to GDKP for gear like the meta everywhere else. Sounds good (for 90 days until the meta catches up there)
Gonna feel great to not feel disadvantaged for not buying illegal gold or aquiring it indirectly by spamming GDKPs and stock piling it going into wrath. (For 90 days)
Let fresh start servers be immune to this retail stuff for its length. Not just 90 days. You don’t understand the purpose of why the community wants it I don’t think. Otherwise they will be a dead concept in a few months.
never gonna happen, with the way players are today they’ll hit max level and start doing dailies and getting their gold and then start out GDKPs at a lower price until more and more people start having lots of gold and the price eventually gets to what it is now on other servers.
also bots will make characters day 1 and level them up alongside you via whatever method they use, and after that they’ll farm their gold and start selling it as well. all the boosts do is make the bots instantly viable rather than having to wait a couple days.
That may not happen because I don’t think they ever mentioned removing the restriction of needing a level 55 character to make a DK. So unless DKs are just better for botting purposes by a large margin they won’t be used.
The meta will continue regardless of what blizzard does. Even if the fresh realms were permanently locked the meta would exist and be happening from day one.
That won’t ever happen period. Even if once again the realms were permanented locked to transfers and you had to start from level 1. People will have all of pre-patch to level and stockpile gold. The first week of Naxx release there will be a GDKP. RMT will begin to happen week 1 or 2 when the bots get to max level. Boosts will start happening once the mages hit max level.
Fresh doesn’t solve any of this.
Want GDKP to stop? Take away Master Looter. GDKP can no longer work.
Want RMT to stop? Start permanently banning and hardware banning botters, gold sellers, and gold buyers. It will drop drastically.
Want Boost to stop? Make it so that if a character that is outside of the level range for a dungeon no player gets experience. In addition make all dungeon mobs immune to slows after 30 seconds to 1 minute. Boosting solved.
Would have been temporary regardless.
And you don’t understand that all fresh is. Is a reset of the economy. Nothing will be different.
things are gonna eventually either revert/“regress” to how they are on other servers…that, or the population dwindles and the server dies off. so pick your poison.
oh my sweet summer child, if you knew simple statistics/math you would know it would take bots the same amount of time it took them to ruin your servers to the point they are today, around 2-3 years
Oh my, sweet summer child. If only you knew that it didn’t take bots that long and they will do it even faster this time around because they have better gold farming options.
Considering the bots and the players have the pre-patch to level they will get into Northrend at the same time, and the bots would have already started selling gold.
even if it takes a year, (meaning that according to you bots are now 200% more efficient than before) I would still take that whole year without GDKP, and abysmal gold inflation you guys have in your servers over not playing fresh.
okay so according to you bots are now 300% more efficient than before.
Yeah right, you have to be pretty bad at math if you think that bots can make a fresh server have the same inflation that a 3 year old realm in less than 6 months lol
Honestly the “average” player will still be running around Hillbrads Foothills and starting Desolace while the boters/farmers will be already be farming Outland waiting for Northrend to open up.
The thing is I seen this originally when WoW came out. The game wasnt even out a month and we already started seeing spam from gold sellers.
You have to understand that those people feed their families on the money they make from WoW. Most people from Southeast Asia find it very hard to make over $10 USD a day. Farming gold and selling it to players from other countries makes them a good profit. Its their job to get leveled up as fast as possible because going to bed hungry or well feed depends on it. They will level 24/7 as fast as possible.
You do realize that the raw gold farms between Classic and TBC Classic are vastly different right?
On avg the drops from mobs in Classic 8 silver. The avg for TBC the drops are worth twice that, and that isn’t even going into trash gear dropping that are normally worth 1-2g when in Classic it was around 50s. Yeah things are vastly more valuable in TBC.
