Oh I wouldn’t worry too much. Most will be back. The noob guild I joined had 200 people online at once for the first few days. Logged in today and there was only 15 people on.
These new servers will collapse as fast as the Season of Mastery servers collapsed. Very few people want to do this classic grind all over again. For me personally I just want to get to 60 and then park him till TBC comes out. Once that grind is over I’m returning to SoD which happens to be my very favourite version of wow

This is exactly why im Playing Anniversary fresh, i want to do TBC which i didn’t do in 2021. But i did do it when it was current 2007 and it was by far my favorite expansion. Here’s my chance to play it again

That other guy… well from what I’ve seen he’s the polar opposite and nothing more than a garden-variety forum troll. No substance and will not engage in a real debate.
That’s great that you all are still raiding etc. I don’t think that Era needs more merging but that sort of thing is a concern from these devs always.
Era will come back in general at least for those who don’t require a massive pop to play, it’s always got ebbs and flows especially with something like this.

I agree, Era will definitely come back around pop wise. It’s the constant. That’s the beauty of it! Blizzard can experiment and offer players choices like SoM, SoD, Classic Xpacs, HC, anniversary, etc, but Vanilla Era will always remain for us to come back to.
I’m a big fan of player choice! It’s healthy, and those seasonal flavors are an opportunity to bring new blood into Era with time.
We’ve actually seen a bit of an uptick on recruitment since Anniversary fresh was announced! And I’m having fun casually on Fresh while I main Era at the same time.

If all it took was a couple of guilds to leave your server for it to become a ghost town…then it was already a dead server.

Fresh servers are bussin. People are still struggling getting tags in early zones

I was on Whitemane ERA and it was boring AF. Every raid was 20+ people in full BiS with world buffs.
Nobody wanted to run dungeons because they didn’t need the gear.
It was basically just people raiding aq40/naxx and then not logging in for a week.
Sorry it killed your server but myself (and a lot of people) are having significantly more fun in the game now.

Why are you still playing this crud and paying for it. When you can play games developers give a fk about for free. You know like the original wow teams. That wanted a masterpeice and made it.

Dude, Tankk I feel for you brother. I have not logged on Mankrik in a while due to RL issues, but hearing the population is dead makes me sad. My main is on Mankrik as well as several Alts. Here’s to hoping LTD makes a comeback and people don’t just abandon their mains…

Era has survived much worse. Who could forget the Cotton Candy Crowd’s exodus to TBC?
The fresh realms are just Blizz’s latest set of fun servers. Its whatevs. They’ll lose steam like every Classic release. Era will get by somehow.

How are the queues for BG’s and AV? Is the Battlegroup dead as well as Raiding?
i dont want to lose my character to TBC. ITs not worth playing anniversary unless i can clone off. TBC is my least favorite expansion.

yeah BGs is absolutely dead atm. There might be a WSG going on if you are lucky. AV is nonexistent. Next week is AV weekend so we will see if we can get any games going… usually at peak hours we used to have a good 2 or 3 AV games going on even on non-AV weekends.
