Bro what you just described is a profitable business model, ppl play the game then ask for the game to be rebooted so they can play again, and continue paying subs

And only a subscription “profit” isn’t considered profitable in Blizzard Microsoft anymore, they make most of their money from the WoW store (boost,race change,server change, mount, transmog) and the WoW Tokens, and “sadly” from a profit point of view, classic vanilla doesn’t have the WoW Tokens, “yet”.
They want every dollar they can get their hands on. Just cuz most people buy the hamburger at your diner does mean you take the BLT off the menu, cuz then you lose the ppl that prefer BLTs. Unless your literally losing money on BLTs, which I don’t think is the case for vanilla

If China is getting Fresh Servers for WoW’s 20 Anniversary be assured that it’s own American Player Base will get them too.
At important milestones they always opened new Servers.
Calling it now. Bookmark it!

This isn’t any useful indication. The reason China is getting a “fresh” is because World of Warcraft went offline in January 2023. So probably after whatever reason, China is getting to be able to play the game again. That’s not like our situation where we’ve had the game uninterrupted.

In fact, we have never had fresh Era servers
If they were only getting hardcore this would be a non-story, but the fact that they’re getting Era too is interesting.

Blizz sees Cata is DOA and we will get another Classic - TBC - WOTLK fresh cycle. But please stop after WOTLK, or even TBC. Subscriber counts do not lie, WoW as we know it died after WOTLK.
