Freedom is always better than limitations

I’m guessing you don’t actually constitute an average player if you have timed all +15s.

Lol.

So in your other thread, you claim people don’t have the right to an opinion if they don’t do M+. In this thread, my opinion is discounted for not being “averagey” enough because i did laughably low M+ keys.

Dude just accept the fact that not everyone agrees with you.

Well, if you notice, they are on different topics. So yeah, one requires different expertise.

It must be exhausting, constantly moving the goal posts so that they only allow your own opinion through.

Sorry you are compulsive enough to feel that if given the option you are forced to be optimal when I am not talking about being optimal more about the feeling of being forced to wait. Its similar to mythic+ weeks where one week doing above a 20 is asking to hate life and the other its easy. You feel like you are waiting an eternity for it and similar things happen with azerite respeccing costs if you do it often and now changing builds or testing ones with a week long cooldown on conduits.

One gamer’s freedom is another gamer’s slavery.

Meta-based raid tiers where you’re constantly changing your character’s character isn’t freedom at all.

And they will never cease to exist. A meta is in every game and no amount of wishing would change that.

Brings a question, is actual freedom slavery to people? Am I responsible if you feel compelled to be optimal? Why should your problem restrict my ability to choose?

You have 25k achievement points and almost 2k posts. You are not average. Sure, be entitled to your opinion but at least be honest.

That is your opinion and you are entitle to it.

But personally, I would rather have a game full of limitations that create significant choices and challenges, which is what this is going to do, than an easy, undemanding free for all.

If we’d only get 1 Soulbind i’d agree its a huge issue but we get 3, that’s plenty of flexibility. I personally like that it will reward people for planning ahead based on that week’s afixes and which boss their guild is currently working on.

It rewards thinking over blindly copy-pasting a build from Iceyveins.

I’d argue the opposite since it is limited in changing it most people will just do the later.

Is it really a significant choice to choose between 10% remorseless winter damage versus 5% more haste on my buff? I don’t think so. Its also not a challenge to deliberately hinder yourself. I’d prefer the freedom to create and test builds whenever I want similar to essences. You hardly change your essences but when you want to try something new you can.

You have the ability to choose which mechanics you want. The problem with you people is that you want the choices Blizzard presents to have zero meaning.

I didn’t realize post count made me an above-average player. I’ll whisper that next time i’m trying to join a mythic pug.

Actually looking forward to not having to switch all the time in SL. Between all the azerite, talents, essences and corruptions, it got very tiring and hard to keep up with.

Give me my one covenant and let me be done with it.

If you didn’t want to switch all the time shouldn’t have chosen arcane. Frost literally never needs to change any talents/essences/corruptions for single target to aoe.

Maybe you just don’t understand the meaning of the word “average”. But maybe I can help. If you took the lowest achieved player and the most achieved player average would reside directly in the middle. Now do you honestly believe a 25k score is anywhere near the middle ? It’s simple math; not rocket science. Average players for the most part don’t even come to the forums.

Yeah, the OP is totally about player behavior on the ends vs. middle of the achievement point spectrum.

Yup that’s right, good job buddy!

I just don’t find a passive choice that I will barely notice “meaningful”. And I don’t find it meaningful to be locked into it. Why for it to have meaning does it have to have a consequence? Is the ability or power granted to me by chosing that over something else not meaningful enough?

I wasn’t saying I was an average player. But I’m pretty sure me terming this as something that would bother them makes Kalaso right.

Arcane is my WQ/PvP spec. I did switch it around for a time when I was raiding with it though. Required a different setup in nearly every aspect. That’s partly why I chose Frost, but I still struggle in the AoE department with what I have. Swapping that to AoE was also very tiring and required swapping around azerite/essences/corruption.

Also had to juggle fire essences/azerite/corruptions when I was playing that before scrapping that for the sake of my sanity.

I genuinely would be happier if I could just play as Arcane, and could play in all forms of content with just one talent spread.

No one accused you of saying this…
