Free Transfers Not Going to Work Unless its to Medium Pop Servers

Its not going to work unless its to medium pop servers. They either need to combine a few of these dead servers so there is a respectable population to transfer to or open it to medium pop realms. No ones leaving for completely dead realms lol… especially with no RDF. Rotate it every few days if you have to , to keep those realms from getting too full.

Considering the queue went from 8k to 2k I’d call it a win

my queue currently is 7075 right now. Not seeing any change on my end. Edit : Benediction if your wondering

Yea grob still at 8.5k que so not sure what did anything

They tried that, consolidations went to Sulfuras.

Free xfer open now, Sulfuras.

Both these servers are dead looking at raider count. I also went into Old Blanchy there was only 600 people online from /who currently. Not many will move unless its like at least 5k. This isnt going to help offering two dead servers and no RDF to boot. If it was like Aitesh or something truly medium pop I could see way more moving on.

Absolutely.

But that is all they were left to work with since it took so long to act.

There are no more med pop servers. They all died in tbc

Something like Aitesh for Alliance. For Horde I dont know Mankirk is close but pretty large already.

We are talking about PvP realms here, you are only choosing PvE options?

Blizzard gets paid good money to figure this out. The point is nobody is moving to two dead realms. They either combine the smaller realms to the point of actually being medium pop so its more enticing or they give us a better list of transfer options with around 5000-9000 raiders. Its up to them how they want to do it and what servers. They have the real numbers. All I have is Ironforge and a /who scanner and I’m not getting paid enough to solve their problems for them. They can get into the granular details of what server, when and where and how many are allowed to transfer before shutting it off etc. All im saying is not many will take take the plunge for two dead servers this isnt going to fix it.

This is what I mean, there is already nobody left unless consolidations magically filled them.
Pvp realms logged 27k alliance,
18k Bene, 5k Grobb, 3.5k Arugal/Yoja (Oce)

That’s literally it.
Where are the people to fill realms at?

Bene and Grobb.

Both of those servers are Medium or High.

So… now what?

Ashkandi would be similar for Horde.

No really good PvP options honestly.

Exactly. This has been going on for over a year.
The path out, if they are actually pushing for it, will take a willing playerbase. Somebody has to go first, and then more will follow. Exactly how Bene/Faer were made in the first place.

Sulfuras looks too horde dominant for people to want to move there from Bene and Bene is basically a pve server at this point so its debatable how many actual pvpers are still on it. I honestly think there is a good debate for war mode at this point to pool all pvpers (they already changed RDF whats one more change ?). Then for pvers take Old Blanchy , Myzreal and Azuresong , combine them into Aitesh , then do the free transfer and see if you get any bites with the increased population. Then add a few more fresh start servers. OR plan B just invest in mega server technology like every other newer mmo and just have west and east data centers with war mode ready for launch.

I am not even sure if they are still there, most of them recently abandoned it for Faerlina.
Ironforge is weeks behind.

No CRZ/Warmode, as we are an RP realm and it requires a different atmosphere.

Neat, but this is still only offering a PvE destination for people on the queue stuck PvP realms.

The only thing I can think of to fix the “no you go first” problem is if they were somehow able to implement a feature where you could opt-in to a transfer off, on the condition the transfers don’t happen unless X amount of players opt-in. So like, you sign up for the transfer, but you only get transferred if at least 4k (arbitrary number) players from your faction also opt-in. That way nobody has to jump in blind and hope for the best.

I think there’s a decent chunk of players who are willing to transfer, but they want their destination to still be fairly lively. Sadly, I doubt they’d ever try this though.

Okay how about this. Keep Grobb Pvp enabled so when warmode is off you are still in Pvp mode and stay on server. This way those that want to RP pvp its business as usual. Those that just want pvp anyway they can get it, turn war mode on then your pooled with every open world pvper from all servers.
