Horde guilds are flocking away with the free transfers, it’s already hitting 70/30 ally to horde and once it gets that bad it’ll snow ball with $$ transfers to pad blizzards pocket books.
I’m glad Ion and the blizzard staff really understood how much community matters in classic wow.
yep…shoulda had some sort of lock mechanism so the faction didn’t get borked cuz all our horde just up and jumped ship INCLUDING the faction trasnferees that screwed us IN THE FIRST PLACE!!..GG blizz. way to screw a server. this is NOT the solution we wanted…not for a PVP realm…where the faction balance actually matters…we had a great balance for the longest time and you broke it twice.
It’s going to be like Stalagg but the other way around. Horde are going to transfer off then Alliance will follow or pay to transfer to a balanced realm. Then it will happen again.

The issues that come from these free xfers almost makes it seem like they need to do something different like allow you to queue up for the xfer, but do them in batches or something. IE: If 100 horde queue to xfer you need 100 ally to transfer as well.
Not even sure what the impact is to the other servers. They gave each server like 3 or 4 options so I’m sure they just spread them around and won’t noticeably help those servers out.
Ok but given what’s happening no alliance are transfering so that means no horde can transfer as well trapping players on the server. So net result is nothing and everyone still cries about queues.
Not Blizzards fault the playerbase can’t balance itself. No one would want them to force balance.
I’m confident to say that some Alliance xferred. Maybe 1000 horde ran off and only 300 Alliance did. In what I was suggesting you’d still have gotten rid of 600 people. The only issue would be guilds trying to xfer off and people getting caught in the middle of the guild xferring and some people get left behind.
People make decisions for themselves. Even if they try to make decisions that will help more than themselves they don’t have the information to make complete decisions, just guesses. The only ones who have the full picture here are Blizzard so they are the ones who should be doing the balancing.
Or at the very least have some feedback on the numbers so people can make better decisions.
