Baine still isn’t Horde.

You summed it up perfectly. This is what made the xpac feel more and more disappointing, because there was SO MUCH potential that they just kept squandering.

No, they weren’t. You were sent there for the same reason the Alliance attacked Tuarajo. False Info.

Cairne did nothing during his tenure beginning with classic save challenge Garrosh and die offscreen, and the Tauren were already getting along with Night Elves in a few zones. No matter who’s in charge, they’ll be shackled to the peaceful narrative the Tauren have been given.

Wrong- It just needs a change of leadership to make the change of heart happen. We can make Tauren militant with just enough fandom backup.

Absolutely. The Tauren were more or less destined to become the wet blankets of the Horde by both its narrative stereotyping and their own: the Horde is the weird people who ain’t normal and are MAYBE EVIL???!!?!?! and the Tauren are the ‘noble savage’ brand of racist stereotyping in full bloom. It was inevitable that they’d settle into their current standing, where they’re portrayed as wholeheartedly peaceloving and therefore 100% appreciative of how war is evil and everything the Alliance (normal right people who are good) does is actually fine, but are bound to their misled, stupid, wrong allies by their debts of honor. How tragic. Truly they are ‘the good ones.’
And besides that narrative role they’re completely irrelevant to the game’s story, because the entire racist point of the concept of the ‘savage’ (noble or otherwise) is that there’s no real place for them in the world. They’re obsolete and to be pitied or despised while normal right people lead the way into the future.

I can admit that I can make an error, so that makes everything I say wrong or “dishonest”
 Sure

The Hell are you talking about? I don’t insist on any “narrative plots” nor do I have any “well known non playable race.” Are you just delusional, that you have to make something up just to have something to argue?

That’ll make YOU the duck.

You know, when first diving into WOW’s lore, I desperately hoped some stories would explore this very cool (imo) conflict, but I didn’t find any

Really, just having N’zoth and Azshara manipulating events around the Islands from the start would of went a long way to improving the story. It doesn’t make sense that Azshara was working in Kul Tiras and Zandalar from the start, but not really doing anything except attacking the shoreline and plundering villages.

So much of the story would of made more sense if N’zoth had his tentacles in everything leading up to his release.

Very nice. Now try posting a RELEVANT quest pertaining to Astranaar as a contemporary of Tuarajo.

You DO know what that word means, right? It means happening at the same time, as in During Cata.

The Horde/Alliance were invading Ashenvale/Barrens and a small town Astranaar/Taurajo gets destroyed because the Commander was giving forces/given false information about the military activities there.

tbh i spaced that we attacked astranaar in cata. you can go ahead and post the link, though.

It’s a quest chain, actually.

The difference is, Horde get to experience the Quests surrounding both of these events while the Alliance only reads about Taurajo in a book. But hey, we get to put out a few fires
 Yay?

I’m unsure why you’re bringing it up? The Horde doesn’t kill any civilians.

Objectives

Captain Goggath wants you to kill 10 Astranaar Skirmishers and 3 Astranaar Officers.

Astranaar Skirmisher slain (10)
Astranaar Officer slain (3)

Objectives

Captain Goggath wants you to use Tweedle’s Improvised Explosives to kill 20 Astranaar Sentinels and destroy 10 Astranaar Throwers.

Astranaar Sentinels slain (20)
Astranaar Throwers destroyed (10)

Objectives

Bring [Shadumbra’s Head] to Captain Goggath at Hellscream’s Watch.

Objectives

Thagg at Raynewood Retreat wants you to kill Keeper Ordanus.

Keeper Ordanus slain

Objectives

Captain Goggath wants you to use Tweedle’s Improvised Explosives to kill 20 Astranaar Sentinels and destroy 10 Astranaar Throwers.

Astranaar Sentinels slain (20)
Astranaar Throwers destroyed (10)

In the quests, they didn’t nor did the Alliance actually target civilians in Taurajo.
But the Events paralleled the attacks in every way that counts. Both sides Firebombed the Towns of “craftsmen” (as you called it) and only targeted combatants. Only difference was that the Alliance allowed the Civilians to flee while the Horde committed a Surprise attack on a unaware village.

But Camp T has always been a crafter village, from vanilla to Cataclysm that never changed. Astranaar has always had a fully garrisoned military.

The only Horde characters Baine has betrayed were Garrosh and Sylvanas, who deserved it.

I don’t like how Baine is used to constantly extend an olive branch to the Alliance. I want a simmering, continuous faction conflict where each side thinks their global dominance is the best thing for the planet. But until Blizzard can write an actual morally-grey story that doesn’t involve cartoonishly evol Horde Warchiefs, Baine really isn’t acting in the wrong.

Wrong. Astranaar was never a “fully garrisoned military” and only brought in Glaive Throwers IN DEFENSE of the Horde Invasion. Prior to Cata, it was a small village that didn’t even have guards.

Hell, it was so plagued in Vanilla by horde Gankers that they had to introduce ONE Elite NPC just to deter them.
