I think you need new glasses long before Blizzard lets you exchange epic crafted weapons.
It was a 5% proc on Beta but stealth nerfed to 1% from the transition to live.
Deep thunder and lionheart champion have the same ilvl. I think the OP is complaining about the proc rate on deep thunder being changed. Nether vortexes shouldn’t be obtainable until SSC and TK raids come out which is T5.

The Lionheart Executioner is more properly compared to Stormherald, not Deep Thunder.

I knew it was nerfed post season 1 but it wasn’t on last day of beta so how tf am I wrong in thinking they would sneak in a 5% proc into 1% undocumented change to the live version of the game?

Deep Thunder and presumably stormherald apparently are nerfed to a 1% proc rate
Thunderfury was nerfed more than it was on live, they not only did the 50% threat nerf, but they also made one of the debuffs generate literally zero threat, making the AOE threat nerf 75% because only 1 proc is working and it is nerfed 50%. The single target threat is nerfed 60% instead of 50% because of that as a side note.

Well you saved me some effort. I didnt realize they had nerfed the proc. Was it nerfed late in original TBC and that’s just the version we are getting? I know I had lionheart then and always felt stupid for not having stunherald.
Trying to sweep all the nerf fun changes under the rug.

It was nerfed after Season 1 in original TBC.
This mace is the only chance you’ll see something else than mage, rogue, warlock n healer comps lmao.
Blizzard is terrible honestly, none of this is legitimate… this is a completely different game than TBC. Unverifiable values on DR’s, items that aren’t supposed to be in early that are but it’s inconsistent so some things have been left out (ie the blue PvP sets from rep vendors have been left out but you can get meta gems that blow all the other meta gems out of the water). Talents are different, everyone is rich and in T3, there are more thunderfurys than there are tanks. Trash, can’t wait for something half decent to come out so we can all ditch this gutter tier company for one that actually cares about the integrity of their game even remotely compared to their bottom line.
They milked us to make overwatch (failure), and all they can do is spit out half baked remakes.

In TBC nobody knew until they got the item. Seems closer to a classic experience to me.

My friend and I tested it out on more than 1k auto attacks on one of the invincible mobs in blasted lands and it was still ~5%, not sure if anyone else has testing experience with this weapon.
