We do get free stuff all the time. I saw a newbie ally player asking if the pre bfa ally mount could ever be in the store cuz its his favorite coloring of his favorite mount. It wonât ever be though. Heâll just never get it. We get plenty of free and exclusive stuff for long term subbing. Thatâs our perks.

no the issue comes when you donât see there being an issue with a company not appreciating your business.
He doesnât realize almost all popular MMOs have a cash shop. The f2p games are often also
P2w on top of it, not just cosmetic.

yeah and most MMOs are ftp with cash shops. nor can you call wowâs just cosmetic since token, legendaries this expansion are basically designed around buying tokens.
They do. Which is why you get a discount and free stuff for subbing longer. They donât need to give you a free sub forever as a reward and its ridiculous to act like thatâs the only way they could show appreciation.

Grumar: Are you going to address my concerns about how new players are going to feel? Thatâs a genuine critique of what you want. It would be the #1 reason I would be opposed to what you are suggesting.
something more than what any average old joe shmoe can get, considering the length of your business. I donât see that as a perk i see it as a grab to try to grab new people in for longer periods like cell phone plans theyâre not doing it as a favor to you theyâre just locking you in.
I donât even notice the money coming out of my bank account. If 50¢/ day is something you worry about, you probably shouldnât be playing WoW.

What are alts and what are professions? I made my shaman friend a free mail leggo with my lw cuz my monk has it and my wife has enchanting maxed so it was literally free for us to make.
a new player feeling bad is like a 30 something feeling bad they donât get social security, they havenât earned it yet.
You might think theyâre dumb for it but you havenât addressed my concern. My concern is they stop playing or never start playing. Which is a massive hit to the balance sheet. Someone has to pay the bills. Why should it be me and not you? Iâm not yet invested in this game like old players are. I can walk away real easy if I want to.

if i started playing runescape today and found out people who have been playing since the star wars kid was a popular meme got premium for free, I wouldnât have a second thought about it.
Pretty much. And all of the ones he listed are all f2p now with a sub option for perks. None of them have budget or population of WoW either.
This is a failed argument thatâs been refuted time and time again.

I saw an article a month or so ago that WoW had more subs now than even the height of WotLK.
I still donât think Zynga/Candy Crush should be listed along with real developers/titles in articles, but maybe Iâm just a big old meanie.
Would be like reading up on MLB and getting the stats/MVPs for a local grade school little league added in.
Thatâs my slightly off topic contribution to all this.
