Really, Blizz?

All you’re doing is encouraging players to unsub to get the free level boost.

I’m sure Blizzard made sure to put things in to prevent people from exploiting it.
If you haven’t subscribed in a few months then you will probably be getting a free level boost, but if you unsub now you probably won’t be getting it.

That’s okay, I’ll unsub now anyway. If they aren’t going to offer this to the people who have supported them through this expansion, they don’t deserve the sub.

This is exactly how I feel. All of sudden being unsubbed gets you rewards and free time. Like they’re actually rewarding people for unsubbing. It’s insane.

I unsubbed for 2 months. What’s the cutoff? I could always use another 110 to park for mount farms

I’m not sure how it’s supposed to work, but many people who are unsubbed (no sub + no active game time) claim they’re receiving a free lvl 100 boost to encourage them to sub again.

I understand your point, but do you call your cable company ranting when they offer promos to new and/or former subscribers?

I do, actually, sometimes. And eventually they offer me something similar if not identical.

It usually works if you threaten to change company or, even better, if you actually ask another company to port your phone number - your current company will call you with a counteroffer.

Bear in mind that they usually do this if you’re a “good client” (you’ve been a client for more than a year, you always pay, you never raised any issue or had a problem with them, etc.).

idk was down for 6 i think but logged in during the “free” day or week or what ever. might have subbed randomly in between cant recall. must have gotten less than a day of play time in.
maybe its new after 8.2 as ive re subbed a little before launch. main reasons for not being subbed had been mostly taken care of.
in any case them handing out free boosts to currently unsubscribed players is irrelevant imo if you already have at least one max character. likely will need a max character to try and get the Deathwing skin

Hmm wonder if any of my other accounts will get one. I have like 6 other accounts because of refer a friend and my concerning need to own every pet in the world. They have been deactivated for a couple of years now though-I’m assuming there is some kind of criteria.

I’m thinking there is some kind of minimal activity threshold as well.

I have a couple old RaF accounts that I only subbed enough to get the rewards, back when they had the $5 Classic promo years ago. None of those accounts are eligible.

I’ve never understood why people get so upset when Blizz, or any company, offers something to try and bring people back to the game.

Plus, the boost is only to level 100, not 110; and it doesn’t come with any game time.
