I was able to transfer all but 5 characters off of Stormrage. 5 of them got the “This character has active auctions. Please cancel them and try again.” Went through and made sure none of the 5 had any mail, any caged pets, or any heirlooms. I submitted a ticket, hopefully something is done about it.
Thank you! I didn’t know if there was a free transfer button, I tried to get my hordie off area 52 but I had to wait in que before I could log in, so I didn’t know it was there.

Yeah same here-my rogue keeps getting an auction error and she has never had auctions ever.I checked everything on her. The only transfer that isnt going through.
I posted a pic in discord,Ill go post it again.
Would it work to make an auction and then cancel it just in case?

Waited an hour and a half in queue to get off A52 and no matter what the Destination Realm will not populate. Same with toons on Illidan. Same with toons on Stormrage. Can’t get the Destination Realm field to populate or react in any way.
Just tried it, unfortunately that does not fix it.

Meh, all my friends are on a52 and wont transfer so ill just deal until the hype dies down.

I want to thank Blizzard for offering this free transfer, and I also want to thank the players leaving A52 to help reduce queue time. I hope you guys enjoy your new destination.

Did you start typing in the field? then it will show realm options.
I stripped my character naked, cleared the mail, deleted everything but his hearthstones, and quadruple checked his auctions page. Still getting the error that active auctions are stopping it from being xferred, I am seeing a lot of others with this issue too. Can we get some love to let us know we aren’t crazy?

Dalaran isn’t experiencing queues of any kind. I play Alliance on that server and have never had a queue once in years.
But I only have 70 minutes until I can log onto my Area 52 characters on several accounts. I don’t really want to transfer them, but I’m tempted to if it lets me.
there is a theory on wowhead comment, that the auction issue happens to characters who were once previously transferred
i was able to send a xfer on a brand new toon, but not my older toon who has done xfers (post auction house update in january)

I have a brand new level 50 character that has never been transferred, I literally deleted everything but his hearthstones just to be sure. I don’t think that’s it in this case.

Yeah. Even tried the full names of low-pop dead servers. Idk. Tried deleting and restoring a toon to make sure there was no auction or mail shenanigans
