I have a guild mate who just tested this with a level 1 char transfer. He now has a Human paladin and an Orc rogue on the same server. Unfortunately, I don’t foresee Blizzard letting us keep our names…

Why wouldn’t you just merge servers like you did for era servers? What a terrible way to merge servers. Who the hell thinks of stuff like this.

This was a horrible decision should have allowed free transfer to Chaos Bolt before doing this. Effectivley there is no reason to stay on Chaos Bolt. The server population will only get smaller… You have killed a healthy community.

Many people on chaos bolt chose the server due to the smaller population and community. Why are being forced onto the largest mega server. It ruins the community and economy is vastly different.

Question both me and my friend have a alliance toon on Crusader Strike, but have horde on Chaos Bolt. Do you know if you guys are gonna make it possible with only a server xfer?

Really should have just put in free transfers TO Chaobolt and off of Crusader Strike. Chaos Bolt was perfectly fine, now we’ll be forced to the mega server full of non-RPers and the craziest bot-filled boosting economy.

Forcing players to move to a “streamer” server full of toxic people is not a good show. This is terrible.

Its extremely hard for me to believe you guys when you say your listening to the feedback of the community when you pull stunts like this. Clearly your trying to AXE Chaos Bolt. CS is a cluster lagfest that is unplayable. Killing off CB server is not going to help you in anyway unless your just trying to shut a server down. Im dumbfounded that this was the decision, you made.

I was called a troll for voicing concerns about CB’s low pop a few months ago, and how it was hard to find dungeon groups even during peak hours.

it’s not even the lowest pop server…
I mean….
To kill off a realm….
All the characters that have to re-name.
All the guilds that have to re-name.
All the relationships and communities that were built around those characters and the lore.
Iconic recognizable people on the server like Shirt, Mers, Soups, Amazing, Gre, Sweetpeaches, etc….
You just took the whole point of a ROLEPLAYING pvp server and said screw it. Lets force everyone onto a STREAMER pvp server…
The transfer itself should have been reversed. I am incredibly disheartened. With this news, I imagine my own guild will probably be done with WoW.
We don’t want new character names. We dont want a new guild. We wanted our community and didn’t want to be forced into the pool of crap Crusader Strike became.
This is a disregard for the community and player base that was on Chaos bolt. This is more a shot in the dark to unlock Crusader Strikes horde side it feels like.
Shame. Guess I move onto a new game unless this is changed.

What an insane choice and a disaster for CB. Chaos Bolt has the population a server like Grobbulus had in TBC and Wrath, according to Ironforge. Closing Creation is wild, as is free Xfers. If anything, open tranfser TO CB from the awful mega server Crusader Strike.

I’m the guild leader of a small guild on Chaos Bolt. You’re effectively killing our guild with this move; we have multiple core raiders who have level 40 alliance characters on Crusader Strike who will no longer be able to raid with us. Separating our core raid team kills morale for everyone involved; we raid together not because of necessity but because of comradery.
Also, not everyone wants to play on an overpopulated server with 70 layers and bots everywhere. Chaos Bolt was completely fine on its own as it stood.
Blizzard, this is a dumb move. Please reconsider.

The irony that Chaos bolt was created because of the backlash that streamers went to crusader strike. Now they come crawling back after a failed venture.

Any sane RP player is not going to transfer to a mega server of streamers and their toxic audience.
