A number of people who did the awakening machine for the world quest this week did not receive a fractured Spark of Fortune. I submitted a big report.

Doesn’t appear to be bugged. It dropped fractured sparks for season one, but for season two it appears that is no longer the case.
They only drop from Pinnacle caches when at cap.
This is incorrect people are getting sparks this week and crafting third item, I am 1 half spark behind as I cannot create my third item. It is a bug.
I didn’t say they weren’t getting them, I said ATM is not documented as an eligible source this season unless you’re below cap (and even then I’m still not positive).
They drop from Pinnacle Caches this season. I haven’t seen anything stating that ATM doesn’t award the Awakened Mechanical Cache anymore.
You can choose to do the awakening machine as the world soul quest, if you do you will not get spark, if you choose the dungeon you will.
i chose dungeon and still did not receive spark upon opening the pinnacle cache
It appears that people who logged in before official reset are not getting it.
I am having the same issue having done the Dungeon one (Was logged in before reset)
It says I am eligible for one but the quest to get the cache is already complete.

I opened a ticket and two different GMs told me that if I didn’t get it in the cache that it would drop from doing normal play, raids, dungeons, etc… has anyone who experienced the issue gotten a drop?
i was without shard after all the usual weeklies (logged in 4 minutes too early). what ended up giving me the shard anyways is the pvp quest in dorg that has “shards” in the name.
its not a fun quest but it worked 
*weirdly, i never had a splash thing telling me i got it, it just showed up in my bag after that quest was returned.
I’m at 2 full sparks only after a GM restored a fractured spark last week. No fractured spark dropped this week.
It’s broken and I’m sick of GMs telling me fractured sparks will drop from normal play. Alts are getting caught up no problem but my monk is still behind despite filling the vault weekly.
Do the PvP quest the guy above mentioned, it worked for me, really not fun today but you will get your spark.
pvp quest didnt work for me, still bugged and missing a spark
Got my 6th spark on my Sham, but my hunter was not rewared with his 6th spark this week. Weeklys have been completed, raid has been cleared, still no spark. Blizz CS thinks that 5 is the correct number and the game is woirking as attended…

hello, also recieved no spark this week, have done every pinnacle cache available, tried pvp quest as well, i picked awakening the machine for worldsoul. my alts have gotten the spark no problem via the dungeon worldsoul quest

I have done, 7/8H all of LFR, 4 10s, all meta quests, theatre troupe, both world bosses, awakening the machine, 4 tier 8 delves, all undermine weeklies, and the pvp quest, and have not gotten my 6th spark fragment. I have seen a blue post saying there are no current known issues which is absurd to me because this week seems worse than the same bug last week.

Posting here to report I also have the same issues, and we need to make sure these missing spark posts stay visible.
I also tried PvP quest, did not work for me, I did awakening the machine got nothing, my friend did it and got his spark from it so something is very wrong here and we are in dire need of a blue post at least telling us they are working on a fix.
i have sent multiple tickets attempting to notify and bug report the issue, please keep visibility up.
Also am missing my 6th spark. All meta quests done and PvP. Every solution i’ve seen on reddit I have done. It says I am at 5 out of 4 sparks of fortune when I run the script… Obv not right.
