Forum Trust Level 3

Is there any way to get trust level 3 back if you’ve received a temporary suspension?? Or do I need to swap to another character?? Or an entirely separate account?? :hear_no_evil::speak_no_evil::see_no_evil:

Yes, it is possible to recover TL3 after a disciplinary action. I’m not sure of the specifics, although it happened to this character. All I can say is that one day I was TL2, the next I was TL3 again.

I think it’s just the passing of tme with TL3-level good behavior.

Oh I was not aware they had put in some forgiveness. Just to clarify, you had an upheld forum action?

Or did you simply not have enough posts read or something? I just want to make sure I fully understand for the future.

I had a forum action for a bit of rudeness. After enough time passed without any further unpleasantness on my part, I got TL3 back.

I thought there was some official acknowledgement of this as an added feature, but I can’t find it. Nonetheless, you can regain TL3 after some kind of cooldown after forum discipline action.

Thanks for the info Sniper. Appreciate it.

This was what happened to me, action related to use of “colloquial language”. Thanks for the info!! :hear_no_evil::speak_no_evil::see_no_evil:

Just to confirm, yes, we do have some forgiveness now built into the forums so avoiding any further penalties should eventually allow you to earn Trust level 3.

Any word on the trust being made account wide not toon wide.

That I believe is a bit more complicated based on how the system has to work to allow folks to post on their character avatars and not their BattleTag, like our other games.

Still being looked into, but I don’t have any updates on it as of yet.

Pity id love to post on my warrior with a very unique name without losing my lvl 3.

How would you feel about posting with your Battletag as the main name like the other Blizz games, with your char selection like an avatar option? That would allow all the flags to be Bnet account level per game and would resolve that issue, among others.

Dont know if id want everyone to see my btag id hate to get loads of requests.

As a green poster under my Btag (D3, OW, Hearthstone, and the generic other Blizz forums) since 2013 I can say I have had only a handful of requests. People are pretty respectful and if I don’t recognize them, I don’t even add them. I just decline. It rarely happens though. More often I grab someone so I can have an off-forum chat with them.

Not meaning to derail this thread but what is trust level? I usually post on whichever character I happen to be playing at the time.

Trust level let’s you do different things on the forum. For example at TL3 you can post gifs and outside links.

Go to general discussion and review the stickies. I believe there is one about forum format or something like that.

There it is think I figured out how to link from phone.

There’s an EU forum post that details the requirements, though I might as well repost the requirements for TL3 here:

  • Must have visited at least 50% of last 100 days
  • Must have replied to at least 10 different topics
  • Of topics created in the last 100 days, must have viewed 500 topics
  • Of posts created in the last 100 days, must have read 20,000 posts (both starting posts and replies)
  • Must have received 20 likes, and given 30 likes.
  • Must not have received more than 5 spam or offensive flags (with unique posts and unique users for each, confirmed by a moderator)
  • Must not have been suspended (including forum suspensions or in-game account actions of any Blizzard game)

That said… How do I qualify for TL3? I’m pretty sure I fail at least three of the requirements.
