Just about every other forum system out there requires you to create a unique handle.
Is there any chance we can see that happen here? One username we create (not our btag) per bnet account would be cool.
This is not asking for btag visibility on the forums, this is completely different
The character list is clogged up for those of us with alts and it would help avoid confusion and accidental posting under unintended toons.

I only ever post in GD under this character, so I’d be perfectly fine with a single username. I think it would be nice to cut back on the stupid sockpuppeting people do.

No. The forums are either character specific or Btag. They’re not recoding them to something useless.
Just put Btags under our character names.

every other blizzard forum utilizes btags… why change the system. they should have kept it uniform when they switched to this platform.
Btags are not unique on the forums.
wowbasementdweller#14710 and wowbasementdweller#1337 will both show up as wowbasementdweller . You could still see the unique numbers in their profile URL but by then the point of a unique handle is already gone.
This is one reason, aside from privacy, that this thread is NOT requesting btags for the forums.
there is nothing private about your btag if you have posted anywhere else… or is that the point of this post?
per the MVP’s they’ve stated that btags are coming, it is just a matter of when.
There are no privacy issues.
The forum is coded for Btags for most games and characters for our game, because it’s an MMORPG and our characters are part of who we are.
Again, they aren’t re-coding the entire forum for useless reasons.
