As you may see that my account is in fact active but for some reason in forums, such as General Discussion Forum, I cannot start a post or even respond as it says I must have an active account! This has been verified on other forums as it states I must have an active account.
I do hope there is an issue that you can explain or fix.

Try logging in and out, the forums can be a pain when you add game time.
How would we see this? The fact you can post in Support doesn’t prove anything, since the Support forum group doesn’t require active game time on your account like the rest of the forums here do.
But Zenjy is right: you may have to log out of the Battle.net website (including the forum) and back in, perhaps even a few times, for the forums database to get synched back up with your account information.
I would agree with the others, Kelmarek. If you recently added game time to the account, which it seems you have, try logging in and out of the forums a few times to refresh your account status.
