Our guild has maintained the same recruitment thread on the Sargeras server forums since August 2017. I routinely update the original post at the start of each new patch to ensure the guild information remains current.
However, during this most recent update, I encountered persistent formatting issues. Each time I attempt to save my changes, the formatting is stripped and the content appears as a single run-on block of text. I have attempted to edit the post using multiple computers and different web browsers, but the issue persists.
I am hopeful that this is not a problem on my end. For reference, I have included a link to the post in question.
You were probably editing a pre-existing post in “WSYWYG” editor mode instead of Markdown mode, which made the markdown codes be treated as normal text.
You’ll probably have to fix up the formatting after all. Strip out the broken markdown and replace it with working markdown, or switch back to WSYWYG mode and use the formatting options in that editor.
There isn’t any other way to fix this. Blizzard certainly isn’t; the forum software isn’t even theirs, and they had no say in when the new editor mode got dropped.
