I think the forum is fine, but could use some updates to the software. If you are really bothered by something here, just leave, you aren’t being paid to be here and there’s no sense in torturing yourself

I don’t think we need a complete forum wipe. There’s a lot of history on the forums for good or bad and it’s disheartening to think we could lose it all.
However, better moderation and better tools for the moderation team to do their jobs effectively and efficiently would certainly be a certainly be a good way to go about that.
I’m not saying they are doing a bad job. I just think currently they have a almost impossible job to accomplish.

Umm. About the only thing it would stop is Necros. And it wouldnt take long for those to build up again.

I don’t see that anything would change as it would mostly be the same posters. Or it might be worse with angry posters mucking it up even more on purpose. 
What took you so long? The forum police break their own rules ALL THE TIME (not talking about the mods) and instaflag folks all the time. The hypocrisy is hilarious. Have no worries though, karma is a great thing and it comes for everyone.

a forum wipe wouldn’t accomplish anything though, people would still be free to troll, alt hop, etc.

Idk what the OP said because they are on ignore but at this point, wipe it all. Redo the whole thing with account wide ignore and or you can only post on one toon.

so if more than one person disagrees with you, that is definitive proof that they are alt hopping?
but the current forum setup allows you to ignore people.
Other forums like those for D3 that use btags and still have to deal with trolls prove that this idea would change nothing. They would just make another account or not care and just do all of their shenanigans on the one.
I do not care one way or another if they gave us battletags, but I just can’t wrap my head around why people are so adamant that btags would somehow make trolls behave. A lot of trolls wouldn’t even care if you knew their real name, so why would any of them be bothered about you knowing an anonymous handle?
As for the topic at hand, it’s kind of like saying that painting over graffiti would somehow deter people from tagging them again. All you’ve really done is wasted your own effort to give them a blank canvas to work with.
