Forum battletage bullying

you started this thread with the intention of causing drama.

you make claims then refuse to explain yourself.

you’re being patronizing towards women who you clearly think are “the weaker sex” and need to be protected from the evil which is btags.

you’re acting as if women are incapable of hitting the ignore button.

you’re making outrageous claims about how “good looking” women will get bombarded with dm’s, even though A) it’s not possible, and B) a bnet profile does not come with a passport photo.

you are just… a massive troll.
and this is me walking away.

so anyone who disagrees with you is unreasonable regardless of their reasoning?

I know… just stating the obvious for people who might not realize it.

its not the disagreements its the misinformation they give out the same harassments
with battle tags players can do the same without the tags

grinball, that work for you?

I couldn’t tell you that, but it does seem to log when you do certain things in certain games.

You technically could via adding all of your characters but that would mean going in game on multiple servers to check if you’re even online, and I’m not willing to do that.

Not at all but I have yet to see a single reasonable reason to oppose Battle Tags. I see plenty based on misinformation and paranoia.

stalkers are real. its not paranoia. they might be an outlier but they do exist. oftentimes it ends up with the person dead because the stalker will snap over any perceived slight.

Also not just player tracking but people do weird stuff like they copy and paste forum topics and messages into a certain website that has a 98% accuracy to tell if you are male or female just to more build up a profile on you.

I am a victim of this years ago of people who take up investigations as a hobby and I did not know I was being followed and a store manager stopped me while I was shopping at best buy and instead of asking: May I help you find something? His reply was: Do you have any enemies?

My eyes went wide and asked why that question with a curious smirk.
The district manager told me he just kicked out 5 women all over the age of 38 who were taking pictures of me.
I quickly surmised why they were following me from info gleaned from the internet.
Never again I said to myself. I told the manager the how and why they would do such a thing.

Was pretty funny these last 100 posts. OP shows support of women getting harassed then does the very same harassment to a woman and effectively using ad hom attacks on looks :joy:

Anyway, good short 5 minute read on why Btags are a good thing to enact.

Nope not good at all. Just leads to stalking

While I will admit that you did correctly name one of my other characters, I highly doubt that you did it using battle tags. But, I admit that you did surprise me by providing a correct answer.

Yeah, but that isn’t really related to using battle tags on the forum. You can already do that now.

Yes they are very real. But they couldn’t do ANYTHING with your Battle Tag unless you accept a friend request.

Still waiting for you to show how… oh wait you can’t.

It’s not like it’s difficult to open your guild page and look at the other level 70s in your guild. There aren’t that many.

If a site existed that tracked alts by battletag it would be well known, not mysteriously only used by this random poster.

Those who support Btag just love to invite friend spamming messages.

Heads up blizz. Please add future block all friend requests.

LOL, good point. Probably more than half of them belong to me.

It’s easy to find some peoples alts just by going to their Guild Armory and comparing achievement points

Only for your posting character, and any characters you chose not to turn off tracking/didn’t turn off third party data in account settings. If they update the forums it’s likely to still have charname-server + your btag, so you get the worst of both.

You’re free to list all third party websites that track WoW characters, and then go list which ones track by btag. If you don’t know of any, that’d just speak to the quality of MVPs I guess.
