It would only allow other players to ignore accounts . As long as the person posting doesn’t violate Blizz forum tos they can still post .
No one here has full on free speech protection because that only protects people from the government censoring them. Blizz gives us limited free speech even though they legaly don’t have to .
Just because you are given a limited right to say what you want it doesn’t mean you have the right make everyone hear or read what you say .
That’s the thing though no one is making anyone read anything on here it’s completely up to you to read or scroll past something I know that’s difficult for some people but say for instance something about lgbtq+ someone might have a pro opinion and someone else doesn’t agree with it so they try and silence them for it that’s not ok
Most of thos threads are created by the T Squad and I know plenty of people from the LGBT+ community that are against them because they are trolls and bring negative attitudes towards their community .
That group has been known to use the real life threat option on people not for actual real life threats but to silence people that disagree with them . Usually it doesn’t work in the long run but even Blizz is starting to see they are trolls

Hmm yeah I don’t know about that I wasn’t referencing any post in particular but just using that as an example because of how polarizing that topic is
They are polarizing not particuarly because of the topic but because of the certain group of people (not the lgbt+ community in general ) that make most of them are known trolls .
People in the lgbt+ community don’t believe those posters are are actually part of their community and honestly believe those posters are actually the phobes that they (the certain posters) accuse everyone else that doesn’t agree with what they say to be.
I’m sure what you are saying about the group of folks you’re talking about is true and I’m not disputing that but you can’t deny that there is no shortage of people complaining about wokeness and diversity whenever some of those topics do come up
Except that hardly ever happens. Classic characters and alt characters are used almost exclusively to cause trouble. The signal to noise ratio is way outta whack and it’s time blizzard did something about it.

I guess I just don’t have any issue distinguishing signal from noise and ignoring the noise is as simple as scrolling my mouse wheel.

prolly bc of what i literally just said mate. these forums are a mess not that hard to see plus that was a while ago when they first made it. if its better now then great but we can stop pretending this place doesnt harbor terrible ppl and the same ppl are on those discords with weird cult behaviour as grown adults. its pretty pathetic but w/e.
not all of us classics are trolls tho but ive agreed most of us are but the same thing can be said abt retail characters. i mean if the convo is worth a 2c ill talk but ppl just target what character i post on lol. u just gotta decide whos worth replying to based on comments idaf abt who posts on what personally

This is a major problem with these forums. If you do not like what someone says there is a feature I believe it is called the “Mute” button in which you can hide the post of the person you do not like. I guess many don’t know it exists since you still have them taking bait topics at every turn. Just in case people don’t know: An obvious troll thread with you posting a witty responses is still giving them attention. You know how to defeats trolls? Ignore them. Sadly, they can’t so it’s very easy to “sockpuppet” and bait others. It happens on here, it happens in-game. People do not learn.
Yes, I do believe some retail characters troll the Classic GD. I haven’t looked in Classic GD, but I’m sure it’s the same case as classics trolling retail GD.
It’s cris cross trolling and this is one of the reasons Classic needs to have their own forum.

btags should be mandatory
Keep trolls in check and allows account ignore much easier

Not sure about friend requests but in game harassment would be at an all time high just imagine when someone finds out if your a woman going to be a lot of people sliding into your WoW dms
