I moved my main (Argent) from Nathrezim-US to Ysondre-US recently, and I noticed that I appear to have lost all association with my previous forum activity since then. For example, this topic I posted recently (weeks after the move) still somehow shows up under Argent-Nathrezim, but I can’t find it under my account’s Activity tab; in fact, most of my forum data appears to be gone.
It’s IMHO poor design, but your identity here is a combination of your Battle.net accout, your realm, and your character name. If you change any of that, you’re literally a new poster as far as the forums is concerned. (That’s because this is a third-party forum software, and that software’s idea of a poster is simplistic compared to Blizzard’s.)
Someday they’ll get it refined and working better, but for now it’s an inevitable side effect of paid character services.
(There’s a workaround to “claim” your posts as your old character: roll up a toon on the old server with the old name.)
