Forsaken Starting Overhaul

Plz Blizz! Forget not the Undead anymore! What’s worse, after an expansion based upon death!
Someday, someday, though one must acknowledge you still can’t fly in silvermoon. sigh

We already have several Putress and plague theme sets, so I hope we don’t get even more as we already have several options of. A lot of us want something tied to the story that started it all, the Scourging of Lordaeron.

They should just retcon out BFA and SL. Calia needs to be sent back to the Priest hall.

The Grand Apothecary Society is just Alchemists. They’ve got a lot more than just Plague Doctors.

The Apothecary Society is like, iconic with the forsaken. Extremely. But yes I can imagine it being something to do with the scourging of lordaeron too.

Not sure how that’ll work out.

We literally have Putress’ set as a tier set in Wrath.

Also the Royal Apothecary Society is only 1 aspect of the Forsaken, nor is it the founding story of the Forsaken.

Also Forsaken in canon lore can and are still being made.

Forsaken were being made and raised before the addition of the Valkyr in Wrath. Its just that the Valkyr make it easy to mass raise undead.

A corrupted version of the Lordaeron L would have been amazing. It would certainly pay tribute to their founding canon lore.

Doesn’t matter if they update the starting zone if when they arrive in Silverpine, Garrosh (mega dead) and Sylvanas (in literal hell scavenging lost souls) are both having a discussion…

Discussion which is precisely about those same valkyrs creating more forsaken.

There are a lot of ways to make new forsaken, that are known to the forsaken.

Firstly there’s the plague of undeath. They have all those plague cauldrons that were just lying around EPL/WPL somewhere.

Second there’s the Mossflayer tribe that contracted undeath through eating infected meat. You could probably make new forsaken by just sitting someone down in front of a big feast of infected bear meat and waiting.

Third there’s the Royal Apothecary Society. They were developing plague, but they also were able to turn all those gnomes into leper gnomes.

Fourth there’s Meryl Felstorm who is forsaken without ever being afflicted by the plague of undeath. He did it himself through magic. So… we’ve always got that fantasy trope “a wizard did it” to fall back on.
