I, too, would like to be a demi lich with his skeleton still attached.
Most interested in Nosferatu and Frankensteinâs monsterâs features. Not that Iâm anti skeleton persay but I would say you can get a good way there already with the exposed bone option they have everywhere.
Itâs still funny to me the big Forsaken customization change was just to give them the less boney models that had existed on at least Chinese servers since like 2006. But even then you canât really pick and choose. Maybe I want the back spikes but not the skeletal arms. Maybe I want just skeletal legs.
At least they leave the intact model their claws even if theyâre just kinda black pointy nails. Though ironically the Forsaken heritage boot hides this feature when I donât know, having spikes for digits might actually be pretty useful in combat. And I assumed the strap laden, pointy, potion stocked armor wasnât meant for social events.
Helcular, maybe.
Agreed, big time. We got variants that hide our bones, but Blizzard should go in the other direction as well. Let people play forsaken who are little more than skeletons with the brain still in the skull.
And on the other side of the spectrum, introduce âfortifiedâ forsaken into the lore. These would be undead who are like Sylvanas, Nathanos, or Calia. Their undead bodies are strengthened by the addition of other magic fortifying their bodies. This gives them a more âin tactâ human appearance with maybe the option for some magic poking through the eyes and bits of body.
Easy options for the magic would be Shadow, Light, Fel, and Death(the sickly blue-green Maldraxxus color or the Blood Red Revendreth Color).
Aside from those two elaborate examples. I think more simple things like stitch options. Steel bolts on the body, some tattoos, and beards, are definitely in order.
I actually have alot of ideas about Revamping the Forsaken in a post BFA world. I should make a thread about them one of these days.
Iâd be down for ghost bits, or like barnacle covered bits for sea loving forsaken
Now that you mention it, ever since they just decided to give back Gilneas to the dogs how do the Forsaken have access to the sea? Thereâs no shipyards, no ports, nothing that would indicate they have a single ship unless itâs parked in Zandalar which is weird considering likeâŚthey seemed to have a formidable Navy in BfA. Hell, they had a formidable enough Navy in Cata to land an invasion in Gilneas.

Get to buildinâ.
Donât they sort of dredge up ships that are sunken? Fix em up and set sail. I guess they could have a good navy without a port, if they just went to friendly ports and hung out in the sea - they donât need to eat or worry about illnesses.
Of course, it is likely because Undead ships and sailors are cool, in general, and the logistics of which mattered less.
Boat necromancy.
They raise sunken ships from the bottom of the ocean. Iâm pretty sure thatâs the canon explanation.
Seems about right and the general assumption Iâd make. Still, I meanâyou have undead horses, you still keep them in a spooky stable. Seems pretty inconvenient not to have a place to offload your cargo, re-supply, etc. And some of those ships look like they did a lot of Forsaken embellishments on them rather than just take something already out there that was sunk and raise it through necromancy.
Tirisfal and Silverpine are both coastal, so having no port always seemed kinda stupid.
What I personally want for the Forsaken is some kind of modular decay system where you could pick a part and choose which state of decay it is at ranging from fresh-forsaken-skeletal.
I really think skeletal Forsaken could have some interesting cosmetic options.
They in particular would benefit massively from the type of customization Drakthyr got and honestly wouldnât really have to stretch the art team for it since itâs all pretty much in the game already.
Thereâs three separate Forsaken boat models as well. Be nice to have them allnin one space. Especially that cool dreadnought model introduced in BFA you start the Horde Tutorial Island questline on.
That worked in Wrath. But in BFA they pulled out the giant, purpose built ships out of their pocket. So that explanation doesnât really fit anymore.
Personally I want to see Forsaken flying machines. Like a gothic armored zeppelin that deploys fleets of vampire plague bats. And have it lifted with lighter than air Blight so shooting it down basically turns it into a giant alchemical bomb.
Yeah, itâd be rad to lean into the uhâŚplaguepunk(?) aspect of their culture and show off some of that. Hereâs hoping we get some love in the final expansion of the saga because iirc the word around the water cooler is weâre going back to Northrend.
In general Iâd like a lot of Forsaken to just be gothed up versions of WW1 equipment and weapons. Because seriously that stuff was so cartoonishly inhuman that just adding a batwing fin or skull decal pretty much makes it fantastical.
I very much donât want forsaken with distinct silhouettes. But I would really like a spectral customization. Glowy blue like the broker heads. Maybe with flowy spirit flame hair. Maybe that doesnât mesh well with the lore because without a physical body you donât cannibalize or rot or deal with typical forsaken issues, but it would look sick.
Not always⌠Darnassus still remained deserted after it was given the auction house that it had lacked.
