Forms of payment or other options for subscriptions?

So I have a friend that wants to join me in game but he only has as a prepaid VISA card - So he can buy Shadowlands for 89.99 but to even log on once he needs a subscription. What ways can he get a subscription without having a credit or debit card?

Technically, your friend doesn’t need a subscription, just active game time.

A subscription is a contract that Blizzard can charge a reliable recurring source of funds (e.g., a credit card) to purchase game time for your account as needed.

You can also buy a one-time block of game time with any funding source, recurring or not, and have game time until it expires. At which point you buy another block of game time.

A prepaid CC with sufficient balance would work for that.

A subscription is nice in many ways, but if it’s not available because of the lack of a CC (or PayPal? I don’t know), one-time purchases still work.

Thank you for the response, not sure I understand… where does one buy a “one-time block” ?

Game Time can be purchased through the shop in 30, 90 and 180 day blocks.

Didn’t one of the expansion options have gametime included? I know they never have before, but for some reason I’m thinking that was added as a perk to the Epic edition.

Yes. The Epic version of the Shadowlands expansion includes 30 days of game time.

Excellent, so Daycare’s friend should be able to purchase Epic Shadowlands and start playing right away with the 30 days granted. (Assuming, of course he already has BfA, which I believe is a pre-requisite for being able to purchase Shadowlands.)

Actually, based on the price that the OP listed ($89.99), it appears that their friend is looking at the Heroic version of the Complete Collection. That will include all expansions and a pre-purchase to Shadowlands. It also includes 30 days of game time.

Ah… Heroic version. The point is once purchased he should have game time applied so he should be able to play right away (again, assuming he’s purchased BfA).

The Complete Collection that I linked includes ALL expansions AND the pre-purchase for Shadowlands. With the added benefit of having game time included as well.

I see. What I had seen was the Epic version here:
https://us.shop.battle.net/en-us/product/world-of-warcraft-shadowlands
But that would require a BfA purchase if he doesn’t already have it. In that case, that bundle you linked might be better.

Boom, he is in with SL… thanks all!

Just because no one said it yet: I aint sure when your friend made his account, and I’m not 100% if you can make a link after the fact, but:
