I have been a blizzard customer since wow launched in 2004. I have purchased every xpac that came out. I also have all the diablo franchises. I cant try the damn beta without forking over $60, that’s a real slap in the face.

According the store’s fine print, it should be available until 21 October so I think there may be a chance for free beta invites to be sent out.
Not really. The only guaranteed Betas have been ones associated with purchases. You can apply for the Beta just like every other Beta. The option is on the pre-purchase page.
100% absolutely and completely wrong. Not Blizzard’s fault you couldn’t find the opt-in button.
Even if you find the opt in with the beta server login que , I doubt they would be inviting from the opt in for a while.
Beta works the same way it has for many years now and it has never had to do with how long you may have been playing the game.
If you wish to guarantee a spot in beta there is an option to purchase the product and part of that comes with beta access. If you don’t wish to buy it, you aren’t obligated to, you can opt in.
That list of players will be invited into beta as well, usually in waves as testing progresses.
