It’s definitely more out there, what about a crab form for bears? It’s not a mammal and would be really weird, but it’d make sense as a tank if the crab has a shell.
Anyway, Revantusk forest trolls for the Horde, I want to live out my Zul’jin fangirl fantasies

Raventusk have been a thing I’ve been waiting for forever. That they’re not confirmed as customization yet gives me hope for an AR. I’ll take customization though.
Zul’jin was one of the main reasons this toon was designed around an axe thrower back in vanilla.
Can’t wait.

I really hope they do an AR, mentioned reasons earlier. They make way more sense that way. But, I’m very, very doubtful that’ll happen. So yeah,
Same. Same goes for the bulky male model. There’s already a green skin used for the normal troll model, and it’s used by one NPC in game, I will take that over none at all. But again, it’s not preferrable.
Same. They’re most certainly not the most unique or out there suggestion, but considering what Horde and Alliance are getting in Shadowlands, there’s no reason for them to not be playable. It makes no sense. They’re my most wanted race despite them not being super special, unique or out there. That said, they’re still their own thing.
Plus, they’re very iconic to Horde.
Zul’jin is awesome. Not a Revantusk troll, no, which is what we’re asking here, but he’s still a forest troll and still an awesome character.
We could go into Amani joining as well speculation territory but that’s far off, and wouldn’t justify forest trolls in the same way Revantusk would.
If we get forest trolls as confirmed, or hell, even just datamined, I’ll go seriously bananas.

I support seeing more troll tribes joining the Horde, and seeing forest trolls in general would be neat to see. It likely would be a longshot, but it would also be interesting if the Amani ever rejoined the Horde as well, but more customization options are always good even if it was Revantusk.
I just hope that any tribes of a race that gets added as a customization option gets at least some form of in-game representation and explanation of why they’re part of the Horde/Alliance now. This is especially important for some of the Troll Tribes who have members working for the Horde now. Otherwise, it just falls flat as they come off as cosplaying and LARPing Darkspear Trolls.
I’m all for more Troll Tribe customization options!

Hey, I mentioned him first at least, I’m more guilty.
Yeah, I’m happy we’re getting sand trolls. I’d like forest trolls most though. Ice trolls would be cool, and a big stretch would be dark trolls. We’ve seen one in WoW, Speaker Ik’nal in Terrace of the Speakers in Dazar’alor.
If we’re suggesting ice trolls though, the Drakkari couldn’t work. Their speaker in Dazar’alor is in the House of Fallen Tribes, and he confirms they were wiped out. The most likely candidates for Horde ice trolls I see are the Frostmane in Dun Morough. It’d require some new lore though, they’re not huge fans of the Horde, as their speaker in Dazar’alor confirms.
It’s the same story with sand trolls, if they ever bother explaining them as playable with lore.
It would be a longshot, but it’s possible. If we’re getting the Farraki, to be honest we could get Amani as well. I won’t get into that here, that deserves its own post.
Another thing, maybe they’re making up a new, second tribe of sand trolls to join the Horde that aren’t the Farraki. Nothing is suggesting that at the moment, but it is possible. I’d say more realistic to be honest. But, it’s looking like Farraki at the moment.

Jokes aside, yeah. The Revantusk should totally be playable by now. I won’t repeat the initial post though, that’s what I wrote the initial post for!
If they aren’t the Revantusk, yes. The Revantusk are fiercely loyal to the Horde, but the presumably Farraki that we’re getting, they need an explanation. Same story if we ever get any other troll sub-race, or to be honest, troll tribe.
Sadly, yeah. We could use headcannon to get around it, but it’s not the same. I’d rather sand trolls get an introduction before Revantusk forest trolls if we get them, but both should have one.

Edit: Looks like Blizzard just confirmed high elves on Alliance and Horde. Looks like this thread might go quiet for a few days under the roar for those.

Oh wow, this post is very well written, I love it. Anyway, you have my support, I feel the more races/combinations the merrier, and it would bring troll players over the moon. I think it’s entirely fair to add this in

They can easily explain any Troll Tribes not part of the Horde joining up with Talanji meeting with the tribes’, who are joining, leaders in a brief cutscene in the prepatch. Maybe they have a contract with the Zandalari, maybe Talanji is offering a bounty on tracking down Sylvanas, or maybe Talanji is promising a party of most epic proportions if they succeed, dude!!
I’m sure something could be done, but that’s the important thing: something. Obviously races like Wildhammers work by just having the leader tell Anduin he’ll be having his Wildhammer assist in hunting Sylvanas and assisting the Alliance with the undead likely causing chaos across the land, but the Troll Tribes need a bit more than that.

More Trolls! Always more trolls! I want every type of troll there can possibly be, minus the blood guys, that stuff is just gross. Also those dudes in the lower pyramid that stun you repeatedly, I’ll never team up with them they are entirely too annoying.

For any tribe but the Revantusk, yeah, that is true. Especially ones like sand trolls who especially hate the Horde.

The Zandalari are the central troll empire, and have history will allying with a lot of the other troll tribes, at least the major ones. With them in the Horde and very loyal after the events in BfA, they could totally use the Zandalari to let more troll tribes in and troll sub-races playable.

Plus, I went into their druid forms, if we got those they’d be the most unique in game after the Zandalari.

Amani could work if we’re getting Farraki, and I do personally want them.
But the Revantusk are a lot more likely, plus they deserve some time in the spotlight.
