Forced to give employees poor reviews due to quotas

That’s not true, but it’s close enough that I’ll give it to you. But they’re not all equally bad.

I do love American companies, for the most part.

Better than companies in China or India.

in the end they will also end up corporate if it’s a successful company. those who are successful will inevitably get an offer they cannot refuse in exchange for the company becoming corporate robot #455

Depends on how many people it reaches and how much they care about it. You can say it doesn’t move the needle, but cancel culture exists and is successful for a reason, and it’s not because people went out and started their own brands

Like others have stated, this is common in most corporate companies. Where I work, you could meet the 100% goals, never call out, and have no errors, and you still won’t get much of a raise come annual review. You have to go above and beyond and take on more responsibility (which does not include a raise) to actually get the max raise, which sadly might only be 3-5%.

It sucks, but it’s what were expected to do.

Who cares about other countries American companies suck lack of pay and on and on. Everyone complains about China and other places yet greed makes them to do business but yes these places are so bad.

"All my devs are great :^) " would play a lot better if Classic wasn’t bleeding people due to obvious dumb ideas like throwing out random group finder. There should be a lot more than just one dev getting canned.

be more misinformed and misguided on this topic please. There have been industry disrupters since capitalism first began in this country and there will be disrupters until the World Economic Forum rolls out their new global government (or similar global entity)

It’s Activison’s business model.

Blizzard use to have a heart and soul. Then Activision bought them and turned them into a soul shard for profit.

I was specifically talking about cancel culture, as referenced in my post discrediting your statement. Your lack of reading comprehension does not make me misinformed or misguided.

Okay, well, just making sure it wasn’t on the topic of entrepreneurs being fed up with the 9-5 grind and corporate policy and having the opportunities to go in and start their own brands…some disrupting entire industries.

The way you worded it made it sound like this was a non-contributor and that “cancel culture” was the primary driver - when it isn’t.

No large company that I’ve worked for does this, although I’ve definitely heard of it being a thing, especially in tech companies. I’m glad the ones that do are getting called out for such a weird, counterintuitive system.

No, what I said was in direct response to your statement that posting on the forums wont move the needle. I highlighted exactly how that was wrong, and you filled the rest in with your own assumptions.

Once again, your lack of reading comprehension does not make me misinformed or misguided. My wording was fine. Look inwards.

Posting on these forums does not move the needle.

Going out and starting your own competing brand DOES move the needle if you gain enough support and traction.

PERIODT.

Welcome to capitalism. Money talks.

See how that works equally as well?

Oh like how boycotts have been organized on forums in order to protest companies?

That’s moving the needle my guy

You keep thinking that buddy.

Wow what a disgusting work culture. I don’t have a best job in the world. Work as a contractor through a major delivery company. As long as I do my job nobody says anything to me. Haven’t had a “review” in over 2 years.

I go to work, I don’t get into an accident, and not kill anybody and on Fridays I get my paycheck. Rinse and repeat 52 weeks a year.

Worked at a place that did this type of employee evaluations. Absolute garbage.
