With all glyphs collected it’s awesome. Great new way to fly and the speed is crazy.
Learning to point my dragon into the sky any time before hitting the up button was the wakeup call for me. Solved a lot of the vigor problems I had. (Still think vigor’s unnecessary outside of the races, though).
Well it’s called dragonriding not dragon flying
What they need to do is make flying, flying. Fly at 100, even 50% speed, and use vigor as a minigame, which then they could implement in every other map too. It wouldn’t be gimmick locked to dragon isles. Besides, running out of vigor to sit there for 5 min waiting for the creature with wings to catch its breath is irritating and removes any excitement as you realize your dragon is obese.
It sucks if you don’t have a mouse, absolutely awful. I’ve tried to give it a chance, but I hate it.
Bring back regular flying. You people who like it can use dragon flying, the rest of us will fly normally.
It’s…. suboptimal, sure, but not game breaking.
I play from my bed due to a disability, so I’m using a touchpad.
I’m never getting medals in dragon racing, I’m pushing to even finish the races, but I have mint yet found one I can’t finish I’m within 2 or 3 attempts. I’m ok with that.
More important things like getting from A to B, and moving quickly across nokhud offensive, are totally doable - I would even call it fun!

I figured it out. It’s no hovering ability. I used to do gathering as a calming thing after work. But without an kind of hover, with having about one second to open and close the map before falling to your death, gathering with dragonriding went from calming to anxiety inducing. And without dragonriding, we’d be waiting to fly till patch one, but most nodes are not accessible from the ground, which you don’t find out till you’re near them.
Or I could just hop in a normal flying mount, aim myself upward, and hit auto run. Don’t try to justify dragonriding, it’s an awful system.

I’ll re sub once regular flying comes around dragon flying reminds me of the oculus in wrath hated that place hated the tedious dragon system they had. With “flying” as we have it now I can’t avoid its existence like I did in wrath. I don’t get the problem with regular flying existing alongside glorified gliding with a up button.

I am not sure I have ever used the flight master other than extremely early on when my dragon riding traits were not taken. I would never use a flight path now.

My little gatherer alt doesn’t even have most of them unlocked. The only reason this character does is because I did all the questing on it.
You guys said it all. I really don’t care if they keep it but if they gate normal flying in the next expansion while releasing dragon riding pass. Am I bad at it no I gave it a chance hate it.
While I do love me some dragon riding, I still take flight paths out of pure laziness sometimes.
