No, because I’m not telling people to go out of their way to gimp themselves by avoiding a feature that shouldn’t be included in the first place. If people want to have fun with LFD after its no longer ruining several other game systems, then that’s fine with me. But why add something that is detrimental gearing process and gameplay loop at the start of the game? Do I really have to explain for the hundredth time why LFD is so bad for the health of the game at the beginning of the expansion?
As always, thank you for the input, and for taking the time to let your opinion be heard. Please explain I must of missed that part.
Please re-add RDF
It’s not bad for the health of the game for people to be able to get dungeons quickly. It doesn’t change anything except the speed at which people get to do dungeons. People getting gear quicker in an expansion that will last 1 year instead of 2 like it did originally, it makes sense to gear faster. Wild I know. Speeding up the release of content means people should be able to gear faster initially.
Either disingenuous or intentionally lying.
RFD = You can play the game.
No RFD = Other players dictate whether or not you can play the game.
Or…it’s a great way to kill time for those that have fun doing dungeons. You remember ‘fun’, right?
The Random Dungeon Finder bypasses the daily heroic limit.
This devalues emblem gear (a couple of pieces are actually BoE, making them decent money-makers throughout the expansion), and at the same time means you would be expected to have every piece of emblem gear for your class if you’re part of a serious raid group on all of your characters.
It also means that you can infinitely run dungeons to acquire the heroic gear for your class. You may think “So what? That just makes gearing faster.” But it doesn’t quite work like that due to the way that it surpasses the heroic lockout. You’re not allowed to queue for the dungeons you need after you’ve already done them, so you now need to queue for random dungeons and hope it’s the dungeon you need (a 1/10 chance), and hope for the item you need to drop. This will also lead to other issues, like tank/healer shortages being even more exacerbated because tanks and healers will be the first to finish gearing through this method as they have no competition on items, and also people just leaving the instant they join a dungeon because it’s not the one they need and it’s faster/easier to eat the 30 minute deserter debuff and go play a different character than it is to complete the dungeon.
It can all be avoided by maintaining the heroic lockout with RDF, so if you complete your daily round of heroics you just can’t use heroic RDF anymore, or they can just not add a system that was never there in the first place.
I said the same thing just a few moments ago Think you should just let him vent this off to the next post
Who is keeping you from making a dungeon group bro? I’ll go beat them up for you.
I’m dps. Even now if I try to make a group it’s a 3+ hour wait for tank and healer, and I’m in an LGBTQ guild so people can discriminate against grouping with me because of that.
Again, RDF is inclusive, Anti-RDF means you can be gatekept by others.
Your entire guild is DPS? No one in your guild wants to play with you? You haven’t made any friends while leveling? Even as a DPS, I haven’t had trouble finding groups for commonly run instances, but yeah if you’re wanting to run antiquated stuff then you’ll need to make some friends.
Nothing says friendship like spamming lfg together :). Some people have friends already and just want some QOL like we had in WOTLK.
Sure, and that’s fine as long as QOL doesn’t interfere with the original WotLK gear progression.
Yikes i think we lost him boys
Playing with a guild is moot to the discussion, as that bypasses both RDF and No-RDF, but the guild is also sparse because many are discriminated against despite Blizzard’s policies on LGBTQ+.
Grats on not being ilvl-checked, gearscore-checked, discrimination-checked, etc. The RDF was the only way to bypass various forms of gatekeeping. If you’re against RDF, you support gatekeeping, discrimination, and prejudice, there’s no other way around it, you actively want to prevent other people from playing the game.
Except the gear progression isn’t original since the game was originally out for 2 years and will most likely only last as long as Vanilla and TBC did, which means 1 year. People SHOULD gear faster to keep up with the pace of the release schedule. You’re choosing to ignore that.
Tanks and healers will still queue for heroics btw because they added this little bag that gives you gold and pots for doing them as tanks and healers.
That was a Cataclysm addition.
Excuse me don’t you know that bag of gold and potions is causing people to progress too fast ? jeez…
We get it dude, grats
