Just a small example, but what if some players hadn’t posted click bait threads about venthyr and kryian being op, “everyone is going kyrian lmaoz, graphs inside” and gotten pelagos nerfed by 10-12%…

That’s bad design of those specifics powers, not really a fundamental flaw with Covenants as a whole. Plenty of game features have been imbalanced over the years but “remove them” was never considered a valid option.

Ok? So what you’re saying is if it was easily changeable say in the form of talents it wouldn’t be that big of an issue because people could swap off the obviously broken ones?

You guys who keep saying “Blizzard just need to balance them and covenants are fine” have literally only started playing this expansion or you’ve had wool over your eyes. When did Blizzard last make decent balance changes? Holy Paladin was in an absolutely broken state for 4 tiers? LoL

We should be seeing weekly balance changes, significant enough to shuffle tier lists, not small little bandaid fixes.

That’s a complete waste of time and a waste of our money when they could just unlock the covenants so they don’t have to worry about balancing them as evenly and then they can fix the talent rows that have been scuffed for years.

What do you mean make due? I’m 10/10M on two characters, finished in the top 100, am 2100 in PVP on two characters, and am something like 1400 in keys on two characters. I can’t just “make due” if I find the game unenjoyable because 75% of the main feature is locked out from under me. It just isn’t fun to do anything other than raid log because the main feature offers nothing to do due to the restrictions, and it actively discourages me from doing things outside of raid as well since my covenant is my raid choice.

Have you done all 9/9 in all 4 covenant campaigns?
There is a lot of crossover in the campaigns

If you have some free time, go check the DPS difference between NF afflock and necrolord afflock on mythic fights. The lack of an extra DoT to feed into Rapture on top of the lack of a massive, continuous mastery buff is just too big an advantage to overcome.

It would be nice, but they already addressed this. Some players gave feedback that it felt bad if blizzard tuned things and wasted all their time investment.

Welcome to WoW. Players will complain about imbalance, but also complain if things are actively balanced.

I’m 10/10M, Finished in top 100 (alliance lol), 2400 in RBGS and KSM in m+ even thought I hate m+.

I’ve been renown 40 on Necrolord
I’ve been renown 40 on Night Fae
Currently 34 renown on Kyrian and will be going Venthyr after I’ve done this. Why can i do this? Because we’re on deep farm and my guild is currently ranked 10th in the world for kill speeds for Mythic bosses.

I’m still against covenants being locked, so what’s your point now?

I’ve also got a second shaman who is 6/10 M and Venthyr 33.
