Sorry, but them adding LFD in Wrath was a god send! When my kid was in school, my nephew also, and my friends were working, i sat in trade for hours trying for groups. LFD gave me the chance to actually be able to gear up to run raids.
LFD is a great tool to have. Because it is not being aded to wrath, one of my all time favorite expansions, i will not be playing it. I was so looking forward to it!
And if people want to complain about a toxic, abusive, harassing culture that has permeated this community…bring it on!
If you want to enable the toxic, trickle-down bro culture that has poisoned what is left of this community, then that’s on you. Being part of the problem is easier than working towards a solution.
Largely agree. Like others said I also agree with them any semblance of a honest “community feel” in this game is from a guild or friends list, people you regularly and routine play with and interact with over a long span of time.
I don’t want to spin off to another topic but its hard for me to resist saying, but there is some truth to the arguments that Dungeon Finder had a stake in the diminishing of guilds (I’d argue along with the removable of guild ranks, though I know some hated guild ranks) . Both of those essentially weakened the NEED for guilds or at least the incentive to stick around long term in a guild. So many countless guilds have no feel of community at all, they are soul less. So many times over and over I experienced the same thing – guilds have “neat” sounding ad pitches to get you in, then you are just a number.
I actually get eggs and chicken and potatoes from my next door neighbour who own a decently farm. The stuff is way better than the stuff you can buy at my local supermarket, and cheaper too!
Not bad, actually. They’re free range (as are the pigs on the farm). The thing I like is they don’t have a lot of options because it depends on what they’ve killed and what’s not sold, so you don’t get a feel that there is any waste. The meat isn’t quite as tender (which I like) and more flavorful (again, I like). Not so tender is better for dishes like coq au vin.
The downside is that it’s frozen, so we have to thaw it before eating, but I can’t fault them for that.
I’ve asked you why are you discrediting her experience with your own’s. Especially considering what you’ve seen in your own experience isn’t even 1/99th of what everybody else experiences and those vary wildly to a point where it’s subjective.
I never said her experience didn’t happen, I said it was rare.
I disagree. I think the norm for LFD is clearing the dungeon with nobody saying a word then everyone leaving before you can type “tyfg.” I base that on the hundreds of dungeons I have run since Wrath.
