Hrmm… I had a great time running SM on both my toons and getting 5 levels on them… did several quests I had never done before and had a great time all weekend…

But its not the classic experience you thought it was going to be.
You know why because EVERYTHING is dirt cheap on the AH even INCREDIBLY rare world drops like Robe of the magi. Which used to go for 500 gold + on my old vanilla server back in the day.

Layering will be removed by P2. Yes it’s going to be inconvenient at first but i’m sure it will pass once more servers are hopefully created and with server transfers. Here is a link from a post where a blue was talking about overcrowding/removing layering:

I will believe it when I see it. I have to be incredibly skeptical at this point with how everything gets handled these days. I just see no logical or technical way for them to accomplish their claim. So it is just a claim. I mean maybe they can with how many players they just pissed off in Classic, maybe they will leave and go back to private servers? Maybe that is their plan to remove layering…

How can they lower the realm caps? I still have a 3-4 hour Que everyday when I get off work. Players aren’t going anywhere. Realms will continue to fill up not have less. Again not sure how they plan to do this. It isn’t making sense. It’s like trying to duct tape holes in a dam that is about to overflow because there is a hurricane going on.

that’s because there simply is no money saturating the market yet, 95% are still leveling and saving for mounts. things simply wont sell if the price is to high right now. Things will be cheap until enough capital flows into the realm, as extra gold increases so will the prices, I mean were you actually even here during OG launch?

Right!? Was right there with them about how terrible Activision is and how they’ve sucked the passion out of Blizz… won’t find me disagreeing there. It’s a damn travesty what this once great company has been reduced to under the greed of Activision… but to go from that to saying you’re going to buy games from “actual developers” like Borderlands 3… wait wut!?

No I don’t need to be prepared for their mess up and not releasing enough servers because they don’t know how to operate the launch of the biggest MMO in the last 10 years.
Classic will have way more subs next year as we get into the next Phases. Blizzard won’t be able to remove layering because they aren’t ready for it just like they weren’t ready for launch.

You’re trying to start an argument for some stupid reason where none is needed.
They have to remove layering. World bosses don’t work with layering in. This is already acknowledged by the game director. There’s no room for interpretation on this one.
They’re going to lower the server caps and the queues are going to get worse until more people move to the lower population realms or Blizz adds more realms. They said months and months ago that they were only going to add realms as needed to make sure that realms aren’t dead. If people are going to be stubborn and choose to remain on Full realms, they’re going to wait. End of story.

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but people on these forums love complaining and exaggerating. They’re constantly scanning for something to complain about, once they have locked in on an issue they will flip the complaint switch and it won’t stop until the next great calamity.
im gonna just enjoy it for what it is. People are talking, randomly buffing, and my fl seems to grow every day with new people ive come to meet. The guild chat is active and groups are forming everywhere. It feels like classic again. Im not to worried about layering or the economics yet because I think it just to early to worry about it. My advice, relax and enjoy it for what it is and have fun meeting people along the way.
