It occurs to me just now that RFD would likely have solved the boosting problem. The attraction of boosting is the time it takes and the effort it takes. RFD with heirloom is SUPER fast and low effort leveling. I don’t think it would completely fix it since some people just wanna afk level but i strongly suspect RFD would have majorly reduced the scale of boosting.
RFD also addresses the problem of leveling becoming an increasing a barrier to entry as more expansions get added… which is why the added it in the original wotlk.
It seems extreamly strange to me that blizzard remove RFD which was a legit good feature that solved a real problem the game had with leveling becoming to long, while also now in classic having the secondary effect of getting rid of or majorly reducing boosting
Oh wait they added a paid level boost. Makes sense now. Who wants good solutions to problems when problems offer you a way to sell a paid solution.
problem is i already pay my sub and if there is pressure to buy a paid services on top of that i might do it once or twice but eventually i’ll just quit… and so will others, which is why after cata and paid services ramped up, everyone did quit and has been quitting ever since. Blizzard making these changes is like an alcoholic returning to the bar, they know its gonna end bad but they can’t help themselves.
