Follower Dungeons - Initial Daily Limit

Some people can’t handle a single disagreement without thinking it’s a “fight” or argument. Get over it, people disagree with each other.

Pretty sure pointing out that the same person is always fighting with someone in every thread and they are the common denominator isn’t a bad thing, I mean you should know that as well given you seem to do the same thing in most threads or are you defending bad behavior because I’m confused.

I don’t see the need for a limit.
FF14 has had this for a long time, and there is NO LIMIT
and it doesn’t hurt the game at all.

This isn’t FF14.

I can’t help but be shocked by the number of people who actively play computer games and see the company say they’re putting an initial limit on a new system and are all surprised Pikachu, like they’ve never encountered a staged rollout or load test in their lives.

FFXIV is setup as a complete solo instance away from the game’s server almost local client side. You can’t even access social features when you are in an instance besides anyone who is already there. It’s you and/or your trust / squadron.

My guess is WoW’s setup is still connected and acting as if it’s a full-fledged instance with resources and all. So even though you are by yourself, it’s still utilizing the same requirements if there were 5 individual players. Especially because it can be dynamically changed to accommodate up to 4 players.

The real problem is in the rewards. really bad xp(less than 1 mission). 464 xp for a boss? really and 1 piece of mediocre gear. This abortion wont get much use.

Trust me…ALOT of us have noticed.

I did 1 follower dungeon in my little quick taste of the new content (I’ll play it longer and do more on the weekend) the ruby life pools . It was pretty neat. Nice to just jump in on demand to do a dungeon and no worries on waiting for a group. Granted it’s normal but for those just completing a quest or just messing around and wanting to see a dungeon I could see the appeal for the feature in the future.

So I did one this eve on a new alt… it was fun! It went very well. I really appreciate that WOW is doing this. My toon is level 63 and just thought I would do the first dungeon required in Thaldrazzus… it went very well, just chose being a ‘dps’ and the Pali tank took the lead… Thanks Blizz … I appreciate this.

Mine didn’t go so smooth. On a monk alt the tank died at times, dps died at times, tank would sometimes bug out and not lead the group and stand still, and other times tank stood in bad and wouldn’t move. You can also troll the AI and kill the group kinda easy. At times the tank died in two random dungeons to pulling a lot of trash as well.

They need to up the rotational complexity of the AI a bit and make it react better. Use more interrupts, stuns, some cc perhaps, and so forth. And train the dps to do a bit better perhaps but I couldn’t see it’s dps in details compared to mine.

It’ll also not try to avoid pulling unneeded trash packs and maneuver to avoid and speed things up a little.

I wonder if anyone’s had a group that flat out couldn’t finish.

Probably not unless they quit cause they didn’t want to run back after they died due to bad pulls. Also if you die the AI just quits group and vanishes and doesn’t even try to brez you.

what was the instance and what is your item level?

Azure Vault and Halls of Infusion, ilevel 310-330 or so at level 68, and was windwalker monk.

im not being toxic just askin cus followers seems to scale off ilvl. and at 180ish its horrible
havent tried those particular instances yet but now plan to test in a few hrs

Yeah, I have had a few non-smooth runs myself, usually when tanking. Half of that is probably my fault though but the two I did run (Brakenhide and Nokhud) the AI were pulling extra packs because they seem to like to spread out and stand as far away as possible.
