Follower Dungeons - Initial Daily Limit

Yes this would be totally fair honestly, I’d support that fully because then people would have to be and stay active to earn the maximum XP and to most people that would be well worth it to avoid actually having to run randoms with other players so it’s a great compromise.

The speed + LFD bonus should be a good incentive for folks who don’t mind other people to keep using LFD.

From what people who did them on the ptr said, you have to do that anyway. You can’t just afk while they do the work.

Did I say that? Where? It’s actually pretty easy to not condone both while still understanding that cause and effect exists and that certain behavior will in turn cause other people to behave in such a way.

I always wonder who is more toxic to their customers…Blizzard or Apple? lol

LMAO.
So this is screwed just like every other new thing blizzard brings to the game.
I thought these were about LEARNING to play the game? Learning a new class? Learning tank or heal?

"We want you to learn to drive…heres a car…oh…and you only get half gallon of gas per day":joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

Well that didnt last long.
Yet again Ion and crew have introduced some new thing, pushed it and made it sound fantastic…only to SCREW IT OVER and make it nigh on useless lol

Thanks…now Im irritated again and lost all interest in the entire thing.

But how has that changed? If these dungeons are taking 20-30 minutes and it’s 10 per day, that’s a lot of hours.

Ive never had anything Apple but ive been reading the crap from some who do.
Seems like a race to being the worst with the two, lmao.
Ion is perpetually doing crap like this.

“DRAGONRIDING IS COMING TO THE WORLD!!!”

"Oh, but we're cutting the speed back just enough that if youre running druid and have instant flight form, you neednt bother with DRing at all"

Im still fuming over that pointless change to the lootarang that did absolutley nothing to stop a single bot, but has cost me probably a million gold for mats that I shouldnt have had to buy for alts.
If it had done something to stop the bots…fine…but we know it didnt. theyre just as rampant as ever. But does Ion reverse the pointless change to let legit players get a break? lmao.
No need to answer that question. We always know the answer with this guy.

I’m not following? Dragonriding in old world is still almost 700% speed. Druids aren’t going to go any slower. The guild perk speed boost doesn’t apply to dragonriding. Just static.

4-5 hours per day would get a fresh 16 year old enough hours to get their license here in Ohio in less than 3 weeks. Way faster than driving school.

Been DYING to get into them.
Just seeing the restrictions are already coming and its not even live yet…lmao…now Im irritated. Last time I was irritated I took 5 months off the game entirely for no other reason than irritation with Ion and this kind of crap he’s constantly pulling.
Id find another game but Ive played enough games to know this one is the one I like best.
I just wish to hell theyd make a single player, off line version so I could get entirely away from these horrible decisions this company makes.

and yet theyve made an easy workaround for CT…just fire up an unpaid account, use the paid account to invite a lowbie on the unpaid and go from there.
Ive done it 100 times to get max characters into lowbie dungeons

Ok, casual…

so, just doing what they do best. lol.
Regretting the last weeks even looking forward to this, right now.

20 might work.
I just put the one guy posting here on ignore. not even worth wasting the key stokes responding to his defense of this nonsense.
I used to run dungeons all day long in Legion. ALL day long. I enjoyed it. Its players that make me hate this game…well, players and sometimes Ions irritating decisions and control issues.
AI dungeons MIGHT actually get me running dungeons again so I can ENJOY it instead of having to deal with that one player who has decided to ruin the run for everyone.
I ran WAY more than 10 dungeons a day and it was rarely about leveling…it was usually with a max level character who was done with experience.
I just enjoy running them.
20 might cover a day. 10 sure as hell doesnt.

Blizz didn’t force my ipod to have U2 that one time so theres that

I never said you said that, that was a general question for the ones condoning the behavior, that’s all. I should have made that clearer, I apologize for making you think it was directed at you in particular.

As for the OP, thank you for the communication. I hope it works out well.

A feature they “lifted” from FFXIV or GW1 take your pick has an initial limit, eh’ It’s probably temporary till they figure it out to add more dungeons to the pool as time progresses and they see it’s working as intended.

The 10 per day is probably so they aren’t incentivized overusing the normal PUG options with live players. I don’t think Bots are the reason for the limit, it’s probably the implementation was done in a way where load is indistinguishable from a non-follower dungeon so same resources are used.

FFXIV lets you do their follow dungeons from the lv 15 to 90, but they are carved instances built like a linear single player rpg where you are completely segregated from the rest of the game)

GW1 their instances are a single world generated for your party once you leave a city, so it was built from the ground up to focus on groups, then later they added the ability to bring a npc to fulfill a role if needed.

My first initial reaction when I heard WoW was adding them was oh great, I can run something without having mass player anguish if you don’t match their playstyle while learning a route or just running a specific one when I’m trying to find something. With the 10 limits, more or less you’ll have to plan out what you want to do for them each day then move on.

The other reason I see them limiting it based on architecture is because say every single person currently logged on does a 5-man, it’s made to think of that in mind because each individual is plugged together with 4 others.

Now simple math, imagine each person now all doing a dungeon at the same time with THEIR OWN instance, so in WoTLK that would have been 12 million dungeons running at once mechanics and all.

Bots are 100% the reason for the limit, but it isn’t going to stop anything. There is going to be an enormous gold injection with bots on 50 characters/account running dungeons 24/7.

Just came here to BOOOOOOOOO you
